Dwarves are usually somewhat anti-social, so that sounds perfect.

Alright. I figured mine out. A Neutral Evil Tiefling Mageblade (Mageblade being the psionic class Soulknife modified so it is magic instead of psionics, working on making that change).
Basic backstory: Mageblades are servants of the Red Wizards of Thay, working as enforcers and performing tasks that Red Wizards are unable or unwilling to perform (many dealings, after all, are beneath them). The Mageblades are drawn from all areas of Thay's domain, typically from lower class families where the child has shown innate magic ability (as in they would otherwise become sorcerers or bards). Incidentally, couples who have a history of producing such offspring are encouraged to reproduce. They then train these children in a very specific way, so their magical potential is used only for the purposes of creating and manipulating their blades.
How's that for a basic character history? If it's good, I'll flesh it out more for my character in particular.

Dwarves aren't anti-social damn it. Sure, they might eat like a ravenous troll, slurp their soup loud enough to wake the sleeping dragons, sing continuously off key, drunk or not, and have abosolutely zero concept of human hygiene and personal space, but they most certainly aren't anti-social.

Then whats
your definition of anti-social?
CWM: Sounds just fine to me. A little like a Thayan Knight, though, but thats okay.

Their are people who may act like that but who have tremendous foce of personality, so that people dont pay attention to what they do, Nobody cares if you're a bastard (my character) if you're handsome and have a infectous personality and hypnotic (quite literally

) voice.

CST (GMT -5)
I say the real solution is that some players drop out, but I've got a feeling not everyone expressing interest is going to still going to around and with a completed character sheet by mid-August.

This will teach me to use smilies. For uselessness sake
Time periods could be a problem, depending on whe people are available. I'm GMT, for what it's worth. Possibly could split the party along time zones, considering there is already quite a large number, if Tycho's thinks he can work it out?

I'm GMT-8, the same timezone as Raxmei. I'm going to be using Etools for my stuff, I don't have the processor speed for PCGen to work.
Edit: Is it ok if I take a few levels of the "Dervish" prestige class? Level 1 they let me use Scimitars as a light weapon, then I can apply weapon finesse to them. Also, how much magic are we allowed?

Since this is Faerun, alot. Magic is very abundant, especially in Calimsham.
And PM the details about the dervish.

Well, if you are worried about party size, the Wearer of the Purple isn't long for this world in a party with a chaotic good sorcerer and a paladin.

If there are too many I am perfectly willing to hit the metaphorical substitute's bench. I'd also like to add that I might be GMT but I am perfectly able up at 3:19am GMT which must be a cool time elsewhere in the world.
Just throw me where you want me in other words + do I need to sign up to openrpg.com?

I suggest you post what you've got so far, and have people scrutinise it. Nice avatar by the way, been meaning to say that.

Well, to the best of my knowledge, as a lvl 10 Gnomish Paladin, Blublo should end up with:
STR 16 DEX 8 CON 16
INT 10 WSD 14 CHA 12
Four feats: Exotic Weapon Proficiency: Bastard sword (which I may need to switch with something else, since apparently that feat's only for using it one-handed), Endurance, Leadership, Self-Sufficient), and 24 skill points (as Rax pointed out):
Concentration: 6 Diplomacy: 5 Heal: 5
Knowledge (nobility & royalty): 6 Sense Motive: 4
That just leaves spells and extra stuff, the details of which I'm not sure about, and my equipment. Blublo uses (IIRC) a +2 bastard sword (2-handed for him) and some sort of +1 Half/Full plate. I'll get around to their descriptions later in the week along with his appearance, personality, and background.

A 10th level Paladin with a 0 int bonus would get 26 skill points. Two times four at first level plus nine times two for the later levels. 8+18=26.
Bastard swords are normally two-handed for everyone, but with exotic weapon proficiency you can use them one-handed if you want to.

I'll leave spells and what-not off for now.
