Is the SSD a flagship?

Well, pardon me, your nerdliness. Apparently someone doesn't understand the finer points of sarcasim.
The CVN 21, sometimes known as the CVNX is well into the design phase and will be operational in approximatley 2009. But yes, technically, you are correct, because the vessel has not "actually in built".
Oh and just a personal side note... I think the EU is pretty fucking shitty, despite its status a "C" or even "G" cannon. All it seems to serve to do is make the lot of you argue over technical babble like trekkies and virgin dungeon masters. It sorta sad really, although it does entertain me.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.
Hit it.

They help.
Thanks for sharing, no one cares. If you must whine and pout about the mean ol' EU, do it in a forum designed for such a purpose. And what the hell is this "tr3Kk3e Lol!!!!!!1!!" crap? Think of better insults, shut up about it, or leave. And your attempt at sarcasm sucks.Oh and just a personal side note... Command ship fits the Executor perfectly, the ship is very long, not so wide or thick, and the huge mass of superstructure could easily be a huge antenna farm. Having sufficient space to lay out all the antennas is basically the biggest limitation to the capabilities of modern command ship. With Star Wars sensors and communication gear, able to work over immense ranges, mutual interference between transmitters and transmitters and receivers is probably a horrendous problem.

Dont be an ass. The entire point of this forum is for nerds like myself and most others on the forum to exchange ideas about are favorite sci fi universes. If you feel as if we hurt your feelings then leave.Well, pardon me, your nerdliness. Apparently someone doesn't understand the finer points of sarcasim
Most of us would agree with you on that but it still doesnt mean we can ignore what it has to bring to the Star Wars Universe.I think the EU is pretty fucking shitty

Since KJA wrote crap stories. Most of the EU is Mediocer at best. Some books far out shine the others (TTT, Star by Star, ect..) But most are uter crap fests. Most of the EU has a bad guy of the week, Luke gets his butt kicked for no reason, and in the end the heros of Yavin fix it all. I recall we have had many polls where the vast majority of SD.net dislikes the EU.Noble Ire wrote:Since when? Most of us would agree with you on that

On top of that, I am willing to bet that command and control functions probably also require alot of gaps in the shields for command ships. That may be one reason they had a dedicated communications ship in ROTJ (And one of the reasons why it was so readily lost, despite being much larger)Sea Skimmer wrote:Command ship fits the Executor perfectly, the ship is very long, not so wide or thick, and the huge mass of superstructure could easily be a huge antenna farm. Indeed, continue with the threadjack and I'll have to split the topic.
