Wait, what does pederasty have to do with this?

Or was that just a Daily Show reference?

Right there in the OP. It was an open challenge.
And yet he claims that Penny Arcade made it all up?

Gabe and Tycho should dare Jack to sue them for slander. Jack will either sputter and come that much closer to a glorious aneurism, or he'll actually go through with it, and be laughed out of court as PA simply shows the judge a copy of the news article.

That's what repeatedly slays me about Thompson: the fact that he keeps trying to just deny and pretend stuff doesn't exist or never happened, when the opposite is painfully obvious.

He seems to keep thinking that his opponents will just back down because he's so aggressive, when that's clearly no longer the case in this situation, when people start picking apart his logical and argumentative fallacies for public view.

I thought you might like to see the mail I got from Jack this afternoon:

This story is completely false and defamatory. Take it down or else.

And my reply to him:

****This is an automated response****

Thank you for contacting Penny Arcade. I’m sorry but I am simply not able to respond to all my fan mail. I want you to know that I’m glad you enjoy the comic strip and I appreciate you taking the time to mail me.

ApparentlyJack Thompson called (well, faxed actually) the cops in on Penny Arcade.
In a letter faxed to Seattle Police Chief Gil Kerlikowske, Thompson says, in part, "A Seattle business by the name of Penny Arcade... employs certain personnel who have decided to commence and orchestrate criminal harassment of me by various means... This company has done this because I dared to go on CBS's 60 Minutes in March and again in July to explain a wrongful death lawsuit I have brought on behalf of two police officers and a police dispatcher in Fayette, Alabama, who were shot in the head and killed by Devin Moore who obsessively trained on Grand Theft Auto: Vice City to kill them."

"As you may know, this incredibly violent Rockstar Games product is actually a 'cop-killing' murder simulator. There are a bunch of computer geeks out there who think that the video game industry has a constitutional right to paint a bullseye on your back and on your officers' backs... That is what this criminal harassment of me by Penny Arcade is all about. They're even selling an 'I Hate Jack Thompson' t-shirt, but that is just the tip of the iceberg. These idiots have been so careless as to post on their www.pennyarcade.com web site what they are doing regarding the harassment of me."

"I look forward to working with your fine Police Department to shut this little extortion factory down and/or arrest some of its employees."
He even got their URL wrong.

What's that I hear? Is that the sound of Jack Thompson flushing himself down the drain?

Why yes, yes it is.

Poor pitiful pissant.

I wonder how much worse it can get lol, but I guess a webcomic dealing with computer games must be the target of much vitrol from the mentally incompetent. It's sad, really, that there really are worse than him.

The worst had to actually be Hallmark about their Strawberry Shortcake comic.

The funniest bit, is I believed Hallmark actually had some major influx of hatemail afterwards.....amongst other things.

It was American Greetings, actually.

The difference with that situation, of course, was that it was a serious notification of sound legal action: it wasn't just AG screeching or throwing their weight around; which PA took seriously and complied with AG's demands because they knew there wasn't a chance in Hell of them winning if the thing went to court.

That's right, but it stands as they recieved worse from better.

Their standpoint was parody, but as is would've been far too costly. Though what happened as backlash was rather funny.

Looks like Thompsons gonna be on CNN with Anderson Cooper tonight, 7 pm EST. Kinda sad how this little piss drizzle gets on national news for being such a jackass. Info at game politics[/url]

Now that is a fitting description of Jack Thompson. He gets owned left and right by gamers, regular people who play games every once in a while, and even those that one would expect to side with him. Yet he persists. I wish The Walrus would do a You are a Fucking Moron movie about him.

The memo is:

"For Jack Thompson because Jack Thompson won't"
