Just for an Update, I will play a Blood Angels Successor Fleet for this campaign, just to stay true to my current gladiator army.

Also, I'd like more eldar and ork players if possible. While chaos is the major threat to the Imperium, there's wars where they're a minor power. And anyone wanting to be dark eldar, rogue-traders or wolf packs is also encouraged...

I can play either Chaos or Imperial (whichever is less popular). My preference is for Imperial if you need me to pick a side.

I'm willing to make a test run next weekend if we are decided on how we're going to do this. (Preferrably 750-1000 points Imperial Vs. Chaos for simplicity.)

Count me in as Eldar :D

If you have room for a total BFG noob, I would be willing to play Eldar as well.

Let me dig through my stuff at home, I created a campaign back when BFG first came out. Had star systems mapped out, how they were connect, what tpe of planet were in each system, resource bonuses from each system, all that fun stuff.

I'll opt for an old fashioned imperial fleet.

OK, here are some finalised icons for you all. Name goes in the top box, class goes in the bottom box, and team color goes in the pink section. The parts that should be transparent are transparent.

That'd be because it's transparent and thus looks like what's behind it...

Are for the ship's name and class. Just like I said.

Is there anything besides the boxes that is supposed to be transparent (white)..?

Also, what does everyone think of Goya's expanded campaign rules? Here

With a campaign of this size and complexity, I'm rather keen on the idea. Not only because the scope of operations, but also because damnit, if I'm running a campaign, I want those nifty extra rules!

Another thing I'm toying with, is systems that are outside of regular warp channels (Hence, Rogue Traders and Wolf Packs, at least one sub will be at the very fringe of Imperial Authority), and more complex warp-drive movement rules. For eldar players, I'm also considering a seperate, webway map that gives more of a feel of 'eldarness' by making their routes unknown to other races.

Oh, and also, an Inquistion black ship or two, which might or might not randomy tag along with imperial fleets. :)

I'm thinking about 8 to 10 Imperial fleets would be ideal. That'd make for one fleet per sub-sector. However, unless you're fiiilthy heretics, too many loyal to Terra would result in a distinct lack of conflict.

Are Space Marines a full-fledged side in BFG?

Either way, if I have time between crushing Tau and Necrons, I'm happy to play Da Boyz, kroozin' da kozmoz.

Sign me up for Space Marines (Crimson Fists) or Imperial Navy, as you think best serves the campaign.

EDIT: Yes, Brother-Captain, Space Marines can go all-out in Gothic, though the Navy tends to get worried...

I'd like to keep Space Marine fleet numbers down, mind. You're always able to take an Imperial Navy fleet with a couple of space marine ships attached, if you want the best of both worlds.

I've got the PDF for the three space marine fleet lists if you want.

I'm also completely new to BFG, but I wouldn't mind learning. Sign me up for the WAAAGH!

I'm tempted to add one Strike Cruiser to represent a detatchment from my own chapter, the Astrum Corvus to round out my fleet.

Also, what sort of points would the starting fleets be?

I'll take the Tau if you're worried about too many Imperials, especially since they're completely unrepresented so far.

Well, going by the Goya rules, which I rather like, it'd depend on your status as either raiders or major powers.

Major Powers are a limited list: Imperial (or Space Marine with Imperial allies in
accordance with the Battlefleet Armageddon fleet list), Chaos, Chaos Space Marine (I'd rather just have chaos traitors here, though...), Ork Waaagh, or Craftworld Eldar. These players start off with 2000 points worth of ships and control of one planet.

Any race (including the above) can be raiders, which confers the advantage of other people not knowing where your base is. In which case, they start at 1,500, but get the advantage of cutting off their logistics being much harder.

Most engagements are likely to use only 1000-1500 points, IMO, at first, because leaving one's homeworld undefended is... not smart.

Of course, as we don't have to pay for models, these numbers can be revised to any degree people think is reasonable...
