Hey Phong, I'm MESS now, what are the available techs for SAMs I can purchase?
Get your fill of sci-fi, science, and mockery of stupid ideas

We sell everything to anyone - light SAMs, heavy SAMs, giant ABMs, all the systems integrations needed, radars, etc. The IRT is also about to start development on MEADS (probably with Tian Xia) as our mobile heavy SAM.Fingolfin_Noldor wrote:Hey Phong, I'm MESS now, what are the available techs for SAMs I can purchase?
I currently have S-300s in operation, and S-400s coming up. What would you recommend that would be a vital addition to my forces against Mass bombing offensives, ballistic missiles and low observables? Also, I would be also keen to see what you would recommend for better system integration.phongn wrote:We sell everything to anyone - light SAMs, heavy SAMs, giant ABMs, all the systems integrations needed, radars, etc. The IRT is also about to start development on MEADS (probably with Tian Xia) as our mobile heavy SAM.Fingolfin_Noldor wrote:Hey Phong, I'm MESS now, what are the available techs for SAMs I can purchase?
Well, you could have scored the British race-car magnate market....Shroom Man 777 wrote:If anyone has screencaps of those Sector Seven agents in their underwear in the Transformers movie, please give them to me.
It will be for my next post
EDIT:
Well... this is probably gonna come out worse than Prince Harry the Nazi, isn't it?
Well, if he needs aid in terms of military, we will provide.Shroom Man 777 wrote:He has seen the light. I expect that in the days prior, he was in sackcloth and prostrating himself to God or something. He has gone to utter nutbar extremes now, I think.
He has been touched by the Lord. He will be an Moses
EDIT:
Seriously, who was it that authorized the arms shipment? No one was RPing Ramsley then. I suspect that his 'brothers in arms' crossed him behind his back.
He is a fruity religious leader. Perhaps the more secular militarists got tired of his preaching.
See my post, it's Tsardom size is what I ment, but it produces nothing useful. He has no heavy industry, nothing useful, no real military or anything of that size.Shroom Man 777 wrote:Neverhood is NOT Tsardom level. DAETH has a CT-post. That means his country is an oversized shithole. As per Zor's rules.
Well, as soon as someone from the Mess steps up to rule my country above meCoyote wrote:Size wise, on the map, Neverhood's huge. And as for who I'm talking to? Well, whoever is their head of state now. Or, whoever has enough pull to claim that title and largely be accepted with it.
That's kind of something we've been loose with here-- obviously Sea Skimmer is not "Saddam the Great" but while some of us are RP'ing ourselves with minor modifications, some of us are also RP'ing completely unrelated people, it seems.
It's a lot less missile; the two are entirely different classes of SAM. Also, be aware that even one S-400 battery costs a fortune.Fingolfin_Noldor wrote:I currently have S-300s in operation, and S-400s coming up. How does the MEADs also compare against the S-400?
Is it?Shroom Man 777 wrote:With a range of 400km (250 miles)... that's more than enough to defend our nations! We need that weapon, stat!
The hell you're the only one who's tested ABMs.Mr Bean wrote:I am however building as many ABM systems as I can create, and unlike every other country in the world I have conducted four seperate ABM tests so far to test the SM-2, the SM-3, preproduction S-400's and Sheppard ABM missile type once I get ahold of a battery of them.
ABM tests aren't that expensive to conduct. In fact one of the reasons for dropping the ships is to free up more budget for ABM tests.
Not really. But it provides HUEG coverage. Like, a handful of them could defend the Shroomanian mainland!phongn wrote:Is it?Shroom Man 777 wrote:With a range of 400km (250 miles)... that's more than enough to defend our nations! We need that weapon, stat!
Buy my awesome missiles. If not, contract with my insanely awesome systems integrations peoples.Shroom Man 777 wrote:If you license them to other FUN corporations, we can start popping them like toadstools!
Think carefully on what "range" means.Shroom Man 777 wrote:Not really. But it provides HUEG coverage. Like, a handful of them could defend the Shroomanian mainland!
Is the THAAD more comparable to the S-400 or S-300?phongn wrote:It's a lot less missile; the two are entirely different classes of SAM. Also, be aware that even one S-400 battery costs a fortune.
Neither. THAAD is a dedicated ABM.Fingolfin_Noldor wrote:Is the THAAD more comparable to the S-400 or S-300?
Not really, since S-300 has smaller missile quadpacks for shorter-range work.Would the MEADS be a good complement to the S-300/S-400?
Spend lots and lots of money. You also need to integrate your air force for the air-defense role. Consider how Shep will attack you (might need to read up on SAC tactics and the AMSA program)The issue for me is to defeat an attack by Shep's airforce.
Okay, how much is the unit price for those things? I take it you have ASAT missiles as well?phongn wrote:Neither. THAAD is a dedicated ABM.
So stick with the S-300 and not get the MEADS?Not really, since S-300 has smaller missile quadpacks for shorter-range work.
Okay. Any links for that? Can I get help on linking my Phalcons to the air defence network (together with my AEGIS equipped destroyers)?Spend lots and lots of money.
