I think it's the big difference in style within the photo, where the top half looks 'normal' and the bottom half looks almost graphical. When I look at it, my eyes go from the top to the bottom and back as if I'm looking at two photos in sequence. If I were able to reconcile the two halves then it would work just fine. I didn't mean to say Pulp Hero somehow botched the shot, if that's how it sounded.

Something feels slightly off with that picture - the bottom portion is fairly 'flat' in addition to being dark while the top undulates and catches my eye. Viewing from an unfocused distance (aka take off glasses) the bottom is just sort of empty negative space.

More in the vein of the Sting photo:
First an ultra close up of Sting. Its blurry as hell, but I love his expression.
Opera singer. This is unfortunately, the least blurry picture.

Very good colour scheme - all warm and brown. It's not very compelling, but as a portrait of Bruce it's nice (and as I said, the colours work well).

The upper left corner also holds cat ears. I should have got a bit closer I think, but it came out rather nicely for a casual snap.

Since I installed Windows 7, I've lost photoshop and not bothered to find it again. So here's my two favourite xmas morning images direct from the camera, albeit a bit shrunk by flickr.

"Money Money Money Money Money"
Yes there's a reason for the name, and it has to do with five of the buildings in the photo.

The photo of the Dodge has what the photo of the 'Stang needs: a depth of field wide enough to get the whole badge in focus.

I'm more upset with the unimaginative angle. But straight on shots of cars just don't work for me (not even fender/grill shots).
I guess I just can't get excited enough about cars, I guess some things are best left to Americans

Funny little picture in the dorms.
