The reason it's been fairly quiet is because we don't want each other to know what's going on. The shit's hit the fan, so we're trying to keep our plans hidden.

You're talking like it's over. It's not, you're still untouched.

.
Next time will probably be SE:V. I still see at least twenty turns in this game. The Klingons, UFP and you. You might even take longer.
<edit>And Trogdor's far from dead. The Borg just lost a lot of their ships. Trogdor's Warbirds are invincible, try it yourself.</edit>

Wow, is SE:V really due out that soon?

No.
That was a boo boo on me lol. I think it's March?

How long do you think it'll take for an SEV trek mod to come out?

Years lol. Two boo boos on me, stop making me look stupid I am your master bow down to The Unity.
I guess we're going to be playing SE:IV for awhile.
Are you really in that dire straits with your resources Trog that you've nearly lost?
<edit>Actually if you are or not you're not going to tell so nevermind.</edit>
By the way I haven't figured exactly what The Unity is or what the Prophecy says. If we end up losing I'll blame predestination

Never! Death before assimilation! The Romulans will not go quietly into this good night!
Seriously, though, years? Did it take that long to make the current trek mod? Is SEV so much more advanced than SEIV that the trek mod has to be totally remade? Or is my ignorance on how to make these mods just showing through?

Smart man.

That's great. All those grand plans and prophecies you've been talking about, and it turns out you don't know what they are!
I seem to recall you saying something about Q having a plan for whoever won. Have you even figured out endings for both sides yet?
Oh man, if we win and he sends us back to the Milky Way, I am so taking my fleet and blowing the Borg and Ferengi there to hell. Actually, scratch that, I'll blow the Borg to hell and conquer the Ferengi and take all their latinum.

SE:V will probably be as radically different from SE:IV as IV was from III, so it probably would have to be re-created to some extent.

I have no idea. I've seen the screenshots but I haven't read through the chat logs with the creators. Probably not years, that was exagerration.

No.
I've got to think up of something appropriately de Lancie enough and it's pretty hard.

Shhh, it's a secret. It's changed names several times. I think at first it was the Master Plan, then the Prophecy, now The Unity, might have been a few other things too.

Good point. I'd forgotten how great the difference between III and IV was. (And probably SEI and SEII, and SEII and SEIII. Never played SEII, so I can't tell where the huge jump(s) was there)

Yeah, now that I think about it, you've created a lot of stuff in the RP thread and then forgotten about it. I had to read through your olds posts in there for awhile to drag Baxter's ass out for Special Agent Fah'Lon to kill.

1 was never released. 2 and 3 were the same pretty much. 4 was a huge leap. 5 is 3D and has detailed turn-based (or perhaps paused realtime) ground combat.

I could've sworn that I downloaded SEI from somewhere. I know I played a game that felt like it could've been it.
SEV is all 3D or just combat? Having a 3D galaxy would be interesting, to say the least.

I believe the tactical combat is 3D. Don't know about the rest. A turn-based game with real time tactical combat that's coming out real soon is Sword of the Stars. That's one to watch. Also Sins of the Solar Empire, which is fully real-time, but is still a 4X game and not an RTS. Both are coming out in the next few months, I think.

*reads intermission* I'm torn between complienting how good it was, and being pissed over the fact that now we
have to win to prove Q wrong. Q's alway insufferable when he's boasting.

Who says you have to win. I for one am hoping Q is right

I do, because letting Q be right is unacceptable!

Um... so I was goofing around for shits and giggles, and found that the Monster Borg race has some ginormous supercube that weighs in at 10 megatons.
(yes I know that Nephtys is not Monster Borg,
but still)

Maybe I should be next time

Maybe next time we could play a maximum technology game in a huge galaxy or something.
And if you play Borg monsters it'll be a 7 v 1 lol. At least, the damn thing only moves 5.

Ack, the monster borg are specifically labeled as not to be used by a human player or some such. Although, a 7 vs. 1 game like that does sound interesting...

Naw it's not gonna happen, if the average battleship comes in at 1k kT you'll need 100 battleships to equal a Borg monster...
...and who knows this game could last a long time.
<edit>Not to mention the monsters have impenetrable cloaked planets I think so you'll need weapons of mass destruction.</edit>

Holy shit, she'd smoosh us!

How is anybody supposed to beat the borg monsters?

Whops brain fart, 10 ships not one hundred.
You'd still need a lot more than ten ships to kill it.

What if the 10 ships were King Falcons?

I personally think a max tech game even in a huge galaxy would be very fast. It would be a rush to get grav shields up and there'd be a lot of warp point openings and closings all over.
