It seems when planets are abandoned, they don't vanish. They simply go back into a pool of planets to be found again by someone else.
I have just found a planet today named Kyoto. The name implies that someone had it before me, and on top of that it had 750,000,000 defence when I discovered it.
It was a large income planet for 300mil naq a day so you can clearly see why it was abandoned. I will keep it since the defence can act as a boost to my rank, and since I only have three planets right now.

You guys get planets now? All Chaos Gate players got was some bloody "Evolution" thing that isn't even fully implemented until the resync.

Looks like Lord Zeus has ceased to exist. I was going to hit the bastard just for shits 'n giggles, but he's gone from search results. (and yes, I did copy/paste the name JUST to be sure) Either he's changed names, or he's deleted his account.
On that note, anyone with me on your AIM list (Chris VG1) needs to re-add me as "sdn vertigo1". For some damn reason, AOL fucked up my account so I can no longer login with that screen name.....the same name I've been using for the past
ten fucking years.
(And no, I can't reset the password since the e-mail account I used to register has long since expired.)

I decided to trade for turns, despite the high naq cost right now. With the exception of the damn Asgard planet (please tell me how that can stop me two times in a row), I think it was well worth it.

Speaking of finding planets, is the number of sightings you get dependant on anything? Because I've done 5 trips so far with no results.

A couple of quick things. I'd like to wish good fortunes to those involved in the giant ass war going on. Second, I was thinking a change of name of the alliance might in order. I'm still cooking up ideas, so if anyone likes this thought and has a suggestion, please pass it along.

Crystal Force and the Tauri Alliance have declared war on the Grand Alliance (Omega, Alpha, bunch of other people I can't be asked to go find). I would be willing to wager that it is the reason that some member have seen a nice jump in ranking.

My alliance Dirty Dozen is in the GA, so this war is a pretty big problem for me. I have not been attacked yet however.
Hensenshi is in Omega, so he's also in the war, and I'm sure he's been involved in many battles at this point.

I remember the war in Chaos. I don't remember any clashes in main, though. There is a major issue here: does our alliance have the power to make an impact? We are talking about quite powerful alliances tangling here. I'll leave it to popular opinion in the alliance, but for now I'm not declaring war on Crystal Force or their allies in this war.
But as I have said in my alliance wide message, I am not going to stop anyone who wants to try to and help the Grand Alliance. Just be prepared to be removed if your actions cause our weaker members to be preyed upon and it becomes apparent that we won't be able to help.
Gizmo, Hensenshi, I respect you in the game and here, but I simply have great doubts that this alliance entering the war would do much more then get member crushed. You've both helped me greatly in-game, and I thank you for it.

I massed out Merc1's 60bill defense. Then CFE got pissed so they started this war. They're losing it all because of such too.
And yes, I have been busy.
