Y'know, I don't recall Setzer having "insurgency" problems, so that "hundred year insurgency" remark is a tad puzzling, Shep.

Setzer mentioned it like in his very first post mang. In the Hecate mountains.
EDIT: Strictly speaking, he mentioned it in his "Building your country" post, and in-game
here. I have no real desire to wade through more of the story than I have to.

Lesse. I've got a bunch of nationalized companies, in keeping with my bizarre aristocratic-Socialism ideology. Mainly, there's:
Ducal Armaments: Fairly self-explanatory, builds most of the stuff in my OOB. Has subsidiaries involved in shipbuilding.
Baernish News Service: Government newspaper, TV channel, and general all-around source of news for the populace.
Sabrino Shipping: A private corporation owned by the family of the Minister of Finance, handles a large portion of shipping around Frequesque.
Transworld Information, Inc: Computers and electrical systems, mainly. Not much original work, but is well know for producing reliable, if middle-of-the-road products.

And the GAYSTATION X!
Shroomanian companies include the MacMillan Megacorporation and SchromKorp.
The MacMillan MEGACORPORATION has subsidiaries that are involved in almost everything. They make consumer electronics, they partner with Byzantine Aeronautics (Byzantine Air) and collaborate with Sukhoi and Mikoyan-G to produce CATO's latest 5th gen fighters and bombers, they help make warships and missiles and bombs. They have megamalls, they have clothes retailers, they have fastfood joints, they butcher whales for meat and blubber for soap, they make movies and TV series and broadcast stuff on worldwide television, advertisement, mass multimedia corporations, they deal with pharmaceuticals and cosmetics, computers and electronics their CEO Michelangelo MacMillan looks like ROBERT DOWNEY JR!
The same goes for the SchromKorp. It's less into consumer electronics and bullshit Shroomywood movies and more into fast cars and guns and equipment stuff, though.

There's a few other ones that I haven't named yet, but Mirakarm and MADNESS are the only ones that have actually warranted names yet.
And in case anybody's wondering, MADNESS produces all of our wackier weapons, like the synchropter howitzers and high-calibre gatling cannons.

I cut Frequesue out of the map Steve is building, slapped a few numbers on it, and put it in the
wiki article of the continent, for easier reference for anyone not fully in the know of the goings-on.

I forgot to mention Hatvak & Koss, aka H&K. (

) They produce some 'civilian' model weapons that are avaliable throughout Frequesue and high-quality small arms for the MAF. Think Heckler & Koch, just smaller.
There's a computer company and some software companies as well, but the latter's so small as to be virtually insignificant anyway.

As I just told Fin, the really damned ironic thing about that "Meet the Press" show is that Buckner, as a
Yukon Assemblyman, is probably little more pro-MESS than the Gene Keller U fellow. He's just an anti-Communist as well.
The joys of complex political influences!

Would it be possible to get everyone's various Wilderness territories added in? My colony on the north of that giant lake has a couple million people in it, is why I ask.

If Steve modifies the map to include those bits and pieces then sure. I don't have the time to edit them in myself however.

Is there a map of the way the Unclaimed territories are cut up?
And 2 million people? That's.... a bit much.

Indeed there is. It is however fairly old and a more accurate map of the CFR has since been made.

I don't remember Veleria getting hit by bioweapons, just Astaria proper plus the launches on the Old Continent and, IIRC, the America/Tonkin continent. And the Astarian quarantine snapped into place pretty quickly. How did it spread to Bissauru and, frankly, how did it not then spread to the rest of South Veleria?
Also, given what you and Stas are setting in motion, I'm figuring the post by Shinn that had Hugo Shroomvez having taken over Bissauru with the arms he was given by the CSR to fight Astaria is being ignored? Not that I mind since I thought that was a bit contrived.

Survivors from Astaria proper got to Astarian Velaria, the diseases supposedly spread from there. I recall that mention was made of plague in Velaria just after the Pathogen War, although I don't recall if it was from the strikes against Astaria or the ones launched by Shepistan. In case of the latter, you can chalk it up to my anti-hero being misinformed. Either way this is a continent with nonexistent mass transit, so the diseases wouldn't be able to spread as far as they would in a first-world country, so they burned themselves out at some point in the past.
Also, I put "Bissauru" in the search engine, and didn't see no "Shroomvez". Now that you mention it though I do seem to recall that bit. I'm kind of ignoring it, although I could just as well off Hugo. Since nothing came of that storyline though, I prefer to ignore it and go with the 'god-president' that Marina set up.

I've had that settlement since the first game year, and it was built specifically as a way to relieve population pressure on my existing cities, the water, electrical, and social services of which were being forced to operate vastly ahead of their existing capacity. It was deemed cheaper to simply build a new city, rather than upgrade every civil service in the nation.
