We could just turn off warp point manipulation tech, although a max tech game probably would be nuts.

We're playing a "max tech" game right now except for WMD.
What's wrong with warp point openers

.
What would be really cheese is opening a warp point, moving a WMD through to the 6,6 sun square and blowing up the system the next turn.
Haven't updated the score in a long time.

By "max tech" I meant a game where we start with everything researched. And you'll forgive me if I'm not too fond of warp point openers right now.

I've tried turning off warp point manipulation, the Monsters and Monster Borg still get their warp point openers. The Monsters are just as bad as the Monster Borg, too. The first time you see the Doomsday device (which is usually only about 20 turns into the game), you can rest assured that you're about to be looking at the Game Over screen.

Yeah when I created the game I made sure to move the Borg Monsters and Monsters races out of the directory to make sure they wouldn't be in the game...

Monster races really are meant for cooperative games. I mean, Borg ships act like TNG ones! Meanwhile, mine are clearly the slimy space vampries.

The thing is even if I have 200 ships I probably can't beat KF's economically without sitting on a warp point and ambushing them and even then it's iffy.
Don't even mention fighters lol.
You guys are going to be one tough nut to crack.
<edit>By the way thanks for the Klingon Academy Dalton. It's 4% better than my own. I wish I'd waited for you to build the fleet training facility before taking over the planet lol.</edit>

Anyone know if there's a way to open your turn file and simply make changes to the existing file rather than having to start over from scratch every time you decide to change something?

No, save the game before diplomacy

.

Saving doesn't appear to do anything - you still get your turn reset to the beginning.

- Do your turn, everything except diplomacy.
- Save the game under a different file name.
- If you have to redo your turn, load that game.
If you want to get your orders back from a turn you haven't saved... it's too late

.
It does work... I do it all the time.

That would be the part I haven't been doing.

It should still work but overwrite the old one. There's a timestamp so you could see if it overwrites.
When you load, you'll still need to log in, if that's what has you worried. But after you logged in--the orders you gave before you saved, should all still be there.

Already did a few times hahaha.
I'm only getting one system map from the damn Tholians a turn, I thought I'd get the whole shebang in one go. When I find your home system...

.
<edit>Trogdor's been abusing you for so long that I thought I'd get a shot in lol. I'm sure I'll pay for it though, somewhere down the line hehe. Where is that 50 Negh'Var invasion I've been waiting for is my question...</edit>

Hey, any way we could change the games to "wait until all players have uploaded turns"? I got stuck in Jersey last night and have no way of playing my turns at the moment, and it looks fairly likely that I won't be able to make it home tonight either.

Even if Tux doesn't get around to it tonight (he's been starting to get busy I think) you should be alright the turn isn't due for another 20 hours...
...and the Klingon Academy didn't work out either. You know that "move one square randomly" thing in Rura Penthe, it moves before my fleet gets the training

What now? I never noticed that. And I thought you had captured another one of my planets, huh, guess I was wrong, lol.

All I have to say is I'm not the one sucking Kirk and Primus' big cock. I hope it was good and they gave Martok lots of cash $$$$$$ cause when the Ferengi get there they're salting the ground, burning the place... you get the idea.

You have to ask yourself, Brian: How many KFs did Trog give the Klingon?

Indeed.
Half the Ferengi fleet. Let it be known that it took half of Brian's forces to wipe out my 7th fleet, along with three of the Borg fusion cubes, yes, three, my 7th fleet managed to take down one of the huge fuckers.
I'll get you Brian! Maybe not this game, and maybe not the B5 one, but sooner or later, I'll get you!

There's more than three fusion cubes in the galaxy

, Neph only lent me a few of hers. And they were pretty cool too--they're so fucking big even your shield and armor skipping torpedoes take forever to kill one.
It would have been more than a hundred but the Klingons have me worried. Lol.
<edit>And I'm sure you'll get me somehow, somewhere. Or Kirk will come, one or the other.</edit>
<edit 2>And I like your RP Dalton, I'm half thinking to keep the Klingons around for a few more years so I can read more

.</edit>
