Found it, Siege.

That whole bit is all over the place canon-wise; Shroomvez could never have found the downed Silver Streak because it didn't crash-land anywhere near Bissauru.

I prefer to off the God-President; I guess I can use "Teodoro Macías" as his name, but the whole coup never went anywhere so I'd rather we make it so that didn't happen. Unless people disagree, in which case I'll just shoot Shroomvez (what a stupid name...)

We can probably retcon the whole Hugo Shroomvez thing to something a bit more...plausible. Perhaps he did indeed have brief control over Bissauru, but "God-President" Macías came back with a vengeance and managed to seize whatever little remained of Shroomvez's assets and drive him off for the meantime. Shroomvez's plans for a newer and better Bissauru were dashed, and it's now back to being yet another third-world shithole.

Hmm. Actually, that's not half bad as far as canon overrides go... Y'know what, I'll roll with it.

Well I imagine for him to be the "God President" he must have some devoted supporters; that or a nasty secret police. Either make the coup far more interesting than just putting a bullet in the man......

Which reminds me of the Dogs of War in fiction, and not a few cases in reality, where in many third world nations any foreigner going around asking questions is seen as a member of the CIA or what have you. In fact in the Dogs of War the main merc character (who's name I don't remember) was trailed by intel agents and minders from the moment he got off the airplane. Just the sort of thing a God President would do. And of course practically everyone who went to East Berlin has stories about how the Stasi followed them around. More recently I remember coverage of Israel's war with Hezbollah where reporters would have Hezbollah's security men come up and check out the reporters to see if they were Israeli agents.

Just putting that out there for you, take it as you will. I'm just along for the ride .

Edit: Well I wanted to join in a plot line that was interesting me, but there is really no good reason for Indhopal's spies to give a fuck about what happens in a crap hole on the other side of the world when there is a hell of a lot to do closer to home. So instead, I'll give out random suggestions on the storyline.

The crashed Silver Streak ended up being found by MOHAMMAD JIHAD. It wasn't exactly written down, but Siege and I decided on that when we were scheming the whole SPACE ADVENTURE thing that involved both KHAN ALAN and RASCAL RALSON and their respective adventures in Mongolia Khitan and Inner Velaria.

OK! just because, despite what i might think, I evidently didn't do THAT good a job outlining what my conference is...

Basically at the CCCT Im holding a sort of "G8" conference, the big Names in global Economics are invited to discuss global trade pacts and economic things that qould affect nations as a whole... it is ALSO an open trade summit that invites "ANY" smaller nation as well, basically to give smaller nations a chance to take to the big guys to offer trade treaties, sell them stuff otr anything else to make money. That is the big goal, to bring the nations of the world closer together, but making more money.

So anyone who has been considering ANY sort of tradepact, or just wants to Advertise and Hawk your national goods THIS is the place to do it.

Unfortunately, school resumes this coming Monday, so I'll have to take a short break from the game: about a week or so, until I have schedule sorted out again.

If Coyote was still active (whatever happened to him, anyway?), Lelouch would indeed be going to Arik for parenting advice. Lelouch will just have to play the whole thing by ear, then.

Coyote's a bit busy with RL stuff, he's not as active here anymore.

During the Second Great War, however, Joseph Itler may have tried to tempt Winston Shroom the 772nd and whoever was the king of Canissia at the time with exactly such an offer. Naturally, they refused, and Itler struck back with a vengeance, with most of his wrath focused on the Shroomanians; Itler was wise enough not to provoke Canissia too much, lest he bring the wrath of the rest of the MESS upon his head. Everything went to shit anyway when Shepistan and Japanistan entered the fray shortly before the Shadow Empire's demise; Shepistan in particular harbored Shadow Imperials who had fled their fallen nation and used them in the war effort against the Old Dominion and its MESS and Shroomanian Commonwealth allies.
