How useful are mothership shields?

If you don't have mothership shields, any damage to your mothership will destroy weapons batteries. You need em. 1:1 with the guns :)

Someone with 10k spies sabatoged me. I don't know who it is but I have a good idea of who it might be. Even so, they mostly took out the cheap weapons and my income sorely beats what I lost in a turn. :D (Thank you, Salinor!)

You don't quite need 1:1 mothership weaps to shields. Shields are more expensive and have a higher effect per unit than weapons.

My own mothership has 65 weapons and 60 shields (and plenty of open slots for weapons), yet its strength rating is 133,900,000 / 194,400,000 offense / defense.

I try to keep a 1.3/1 ratio. :)

Yah, along with selling half my weapons, this got me enough for my (still unnamed) Mothership :D . It means my strike action is shot to hell, but that doesn't matter all that much since I didn't sell any of my defensive weapons. I'll probably start a poll for the name, but suggestions are still welcome here.

I guess you're playing as the Asgard by your av so I'd suggest naming it the MSS Frank Exchange of Views.

Now I need to change my MS to have a Banksian name that sounds like it's moderately dangerous... hmm.

I actually shot up in rankings when I bought my mothership. Then again, I did have a lot more weapons than troops to use em.

Hey guys, is there any point in upgrading the anti-spy skill at all, i'm confused whether it boosts your covert defense or if it increases assasin power.

When I was starting out hotshotxxx did this to me:
Enemy Result Attacks Enemy Losses Your Losses Damage by You Damage to You Report
hotshotxxx 251,092 Naquadah stolen 15 0 0 1,659 52,896
So now i've built up I did this:
Enemy Result Attacks Enemy Losses Your Losses Damage by You Damage to You
hotshotxxx 26,065,824 Naquadah stolen 15 22 0 2,673,449 3

Sweeeeeet Revenge! (and 100x the Naquadah stolen from him as was taken from me :D )

You can join me. I'm Number 21. Or yea, you can join Naq too.

One of the main mechanics of the game is to upgrade your unit production. The higher it is, the faster and more units you can churn out for your army (and money when you assigned them to the mines).

If you need quick cash, train a small attack army, buy a couple attack weapons, declare war and attack someone with around 50-60 million naquadah in the 600+ rankings. Buy a couple covert units first and spy your target if you want to make sure they won't kick your ass.
I've set you as my commander.

<Burns>Excellent.</Burns>

I don't have supporter status so the only way I would be able to actually transfer a good amount of naquadah is to buy mercenaries and send them to you but they're a rare commodity to come by.

Victory! I have taken 230 million naquadah! With some mothership action too! Now even though his army was unarmed, his mothership still dealt serious damage to me. I lost two weapons emplacements but insignificant compare to what I took.
As with all battles, this one has been recorded for the official history of your realm. You, of course, are the first to know the results as they are reported directly to you first. This is the official report of the battle:

The army of Number 21 stormed the realm of Horny!

Number 21 sent:
300 Covert Infiltrator Bot and 353 Human Form Attacker and 0 Attack Spider

Careful and thourough observation records that the troops were armed as follows:

353 Human Form Attacker have Instant Material Acquisition

Opposite this, stood the forces of Horny

Horny resisted the aggressors with:
18,829 Super Defenders and 0 Defenders
Careful and thourough observation records that the army carried the following arsenal:

0 Super Defenders have
18829 Super Defenders came unarmed!

In a fury, the two opposing forces clash!

Number 21, personally commanding Leggo My Eggo, their MotherShip, initiates the battle.
Horny was was commanding Iron fist, thier MotherShip.
Leggo My Eggo hovers above the battle!
Iron fist meets it head on!
Leggo My Eggo uses its Nano Volley to inflict 43,260,000 damage, destroying 0 Energy Shields on Iron fist!
The Mothership has exhausted all of its offensive power.

Iron fist uses its Pod Volley to inflict 427,850,000 damage, destroying 0 Matter-Phasic Shields on Leggo My Eggo!
Blowing through the defenses, it also destroyed 1 Nano Volley!

The Mothership has exhausted all of its offensive power.

The forces of Number 21 rush in full force, and inflict 19,519,488 damage on Horny's forces!
It was confirmed that 188 of Horny's forces fell at the hands of Number 21's assult.

The forces of Horny fought back with all they could, and managed to inflict 3 damage on Number 21's forces!
They managed to eradicate 0 of Number 21's troops.

The forces of Number 21's Covert Infiltrator Bot break off from main attack force, and seek out Horny's Covert Agents!
0 Covert Infiltrator Bot are taken down by the defending army while attempting to disengage from the main battle!
The remaining Covert Infiltrator Bot engage the covert networks of the realm.
With no enemy army to speak of, the main assult force assists in the hunt for covert networks! They add 118 percent to the existing power of the Covert Infiltrator Bot!
The Covert Infiltrator Bot outspied, outintelled, outwitted and overall overpowered the defending Covert Agents at their own game!
With 4,766,272 power remaining, they manage to eliminate 0 of Horny's Covert Agents!

Putting down the chronicled battle report, you cross reference and call for the corrosponding military armory reports to see the state of your weapons after such a battle...

Your Instant Material Acquisition went from strength 2,560 to 2,425 (now 2425/2560 and 5 percent damaged)

The forces of Number 21 annihilated those of Horny
The forces of Horny flee from the battlefield! One could see glory on the face of the victors, and spite on the defeated!

Considering what was available at the time in the realm of Horny, it is recorded that
a total of 232,795,611 Naquadah was taken from the realm of Horny

Many wonder if Horny will consider retaliation, but - when force meets force - there will have to be some changes in the preparedness of Horny before such a feat should wisely be considered!

YAY I just went through all 125 turns that I'd accumulated over the past 3 days of doing nothing. Found some guy who'd left his account fallow and took money and unused soldiers willy nilly. My army is now 200x larger and my koffers are ringing with naq. I'm almost fully upgraded on tech and I'm looking at 100 soldier/day production.

This game is fucking fun.

This message goes out to anyone who wants a good account not just SyntaxVorlon.

I understand that many peoples issues is that no matter how much naqudah they invest they can't seem to get to that next rank, or if you're not there yet, you will be. The reason this occurs is that you have reached your peak growth as far as rank goes. This means that your daily income is too consistant with many others around you in the rankings and you have fallen into a rut. The key to this game is getting out of that rut no matter what. To do so you need UP!

The key to this game is UP (NO NOT UU or Miners) UNIT PRODUCTION. UP is the backbone of any good account! With a Higher UP the units/miners will come in due time. Forget about rank for a couple months and work on your UP. TRUST ME ON THIS. I sat in this game for months not going anywhere cause I too was worried about rank. When I realized that the I was going about it all wrong and I started doing things the way I am giving you I went from a rank of 4,000 to Rank #300 in 1 month. Is it possible for you to do the same? I think it is. I think it is possible for you all to achieve something similar it might take a bit longer than 1 month, but it is still very possible.

Ok I mentioned UP and let me get into why it is so important and show you some math to back it up. UP is the key to your growth. With Market Prices Ever inflating becoming more and more only for the rich to be able to afford, this puts more emphasis on your UP. Many of you I have seen I have a low UP. And I would say that 99% of you with low UP all also have low total Units. If you had a Base UP of 2,000 Per Day how long would it take you to double your army size? How about 3500 a day? These numbers add up dramatically.

A 2,000 Base UP will get you 60,000 more Units a month. A 3500 UP will take that number up to 105,000 more units a month. Ok but a 2000 or 3500 Base UP takes so much naq there is no way I can do it. WRONG!!!! YES YOU CAN. If you have a mere 5,000 Miners your income will be between 19 Million and 26 Million per Day. A Base UP of 3,500 Costs a Total of 10,205,415,000 Naquadah, one of 2,000 will cost3,331,665,000 Naquadah. Now that is starting from 0. Yes that is a decent amount of naq. But it is possible. Lets take it from 1,000, since I know some of you have a 1k; UP 2,497,500,000 Naquadah to upgrade to 2k UP. Just think of the numbers that gain from the 2k UP. Now try a 3.5k UP. If the income is too much for you to handle train them as Covert Ops. That's a lot of units.

Now lets take those numbers and add in officers. I make Unit Production 2,790 /day (3,855 total) which you may say is low, and yes it is, but I've got a friend holding 20billion naq for me until the 19th when I go on PPT, when I'll jump to 7.5k UP.

Jesus! I'm looking at your battle logs and it's pretty bad in returns for the turns used.

There are always players with 40+ million naquadah with near or no defenses whatsover near your rank. Declare war and attack them only once! They'll return more naquadah then the measly 20 million you got. But don't worry we all make our mistakes when we begin. :D

It'll be like when Heru'er took planet that used to be protected by Thor's Hammer. Take what is abandoned by other gods!

Hey guys, whats up with that Asgard race tech?

I've wasted alot of turns on asgardians attacking holograms :finger:
so i was wondering, what are the chances/factors/odds of my soldiers wasting their time in a holodeck whenever i hit an asgard with holo-tech?

Somebody hammer this fucker for me

MCMark Has realized my Naq production is quite high, so he is now farming me everyday while I am at work. He gets 2 raids in a day, both carrying of over 50M (I'd spend it if I could get to a computer). He's not to far in the ranking from me (a bit below actually) but he now has a mothership making any of my attacks futile as I can't respond to it in kind. He has also put enough into spies I can't sab him to get him back.

So would all the higher people here start pounding the unliving fuck out of him? Make it clear that the alliance sticks together and that the wisest thing to do would be go somepalce else for quick cash. I'm gonna appeal to my commander, but if those of you who have the ability to make him regret all his choices would do so, I'd appreciate it.
