"No but we'll carry on regardless"
"Talking-fisherbear with the wondrous olfactory sense, is the second largest predator also an invisible alien?"
if so wash, rinse, repeat previous couple of steps sans short story.

After the party recovers from the shock, you begin to trek through the jungle to the river.
Many hours later, you reach a small clearing.

You see a small clearing, completely covered by trees. You do not see or hear anything in the clearing.

Summon a small fireball to clear the clearing that is covered in trees.
Wonder what happened to everyone other than the narrator
Examine the clearing, if the oracle is here than approach, if the oracle is not here press on...

The Oracle is not here, the oracle is in the forbidden city at the center of Ayesveeyes, through the mountain range.
Before you can move though the clearing, Brian stops you and says, "Something smells amiss."

Ask the sword if it senses anything. If nothing, send out Sir Getshitintheheadalot for scouting duty.

The sword does not sense anything. But when Sir Getshitintheheadalot enters the clearing, he is jumped by a large panther.

Luckily Sir Getshitintheheadalot is wearing his fire retardant underwear/bodysuit so I fry the Panther to a crisp.
Suck out soul for new panther action!

After sucking the soul, the dragon remarks that the sword is getting rather crowded.

Ignore whiny dragon and continue into clearing. Check sword for soul capacity and any powers added by new Panther soul.

The panther gives you the ability to creep silently while the sword is drawn.
You have space for three more souls in the sword. You destroy the sword to release any souls.

Determine process for selecting removing souls without destroying sword.
Also determing what souls would be required to recreate Sword of Logic powers.

You cannot release souls without destroying the sword, the souls are bound to it.
recreating the sword of logic's powers would require you to bind 100 purely logical souls into a weapon, and then utter the magical incantation, deep within the heart of the Temple of Logic's catacombs.
OOC: Welcome back, are you feeling better?

Is it possible to have the dragon's soul devour the other souls?

by The Yosemite Bear
no, however I'm sure that the souls of the AYVB and Darkstar's minons would try and convince you that if you just used Slutty Hoshi or 7of9's souls they could do something.
ooc: yes, much better, the runs and fever stopped yesterday.

Unfortunately, the dragon cannot consume the other souls, and even if he could, he wouldn't. He is, as you recall, just a little bit annoyed about the whole "murder and soul stealing" thing.
Inside the clearing, you find nothing else that is worrisome.

Well you could always summon a daemon to consume the junk souls...
but knowing the player you would just kill the daemon and bind it to the sword....

Well we could use the bound demon to summon an even more powerful demon.
