Steve has a point. The Bragulans like the Sheppoes, and the Sheppoes like the Brags because they're worse than them! :D

Speaking of Bragulans, I think an escaped former Bragulan popsicle soldier would be a great character. I was talking to Shroomy and he was wondering if Umarbacca might be one: "would explain why Umarbacca has no home or family to go home to" in his words.

IT'S BRAGSDAY! THEY'RE ALL DEAD!

The only backstory I had in mind for Umarbacca was that he was in a rogue Bragulan unit operating as mercs in Wild Space until Bragulan forces caught them and wiped them out; Umar survived and was picked up by Balthier. Balthier is about the only person he'll obey or defer to, though he has taken a liking to Marissa (due to her advocacy of violent solutions more than anything).

From the Umerian perspective, Bragulans are like big hairy Sheppoes that live a thousand light-years away... which is the best possible place for Sheppoes to be.

EDIT: Nice paleocruiser. Gives me ideas for the Suicide Police story...

For some reason, the Bragulans increasingly remind me of the Brutes from Halo, only with an engaging personality and flavor.

I'm glad that we're very, very far away from each other. :)

Oh, man. So many additions during the four days my Net access was out.

Catching up to all this is damned daunting.

This is still rather tame.... It was once on the order of a few pages...

This may come as a surprise to some people, but I am considering dropping out, or at least taking a long break.

Quite frankly, the last three weeks were incredibly taxing and I simply have no creative energy. I have no idea when I will start getting used to the new routine, or if I will get used to it at all for that matter.

Certainly it will take a while before I'll be able to push ahead either of the Collector stories we have in motion with Siege and Simon, and I guess people can definitely expect a hiatus WRT to Collector activity.

All right. I'll finish up Collectors in the Shoals on my own and move to the stuff I had planned afterwards.

I submit that having the Collectors "retreat into inactivity" for some game months would be reasonable without dropping out. If things straighten out in three or six months' time you can still come back; if not, it's fair to assume that they're up to their usual zany antics off-screen.

And, as Shroomy said, good lucks mangs.

Thank God that the Bragulans are far away from me, since they'll then ask me to make atrocity contests with them. :P

So the Collectors are retiring? And just when I was about to do something sneaky... never mind. It can wait. Good luck mang. I hope the baby doesn't wear you out too much. :)

Also: Shroom those are some awesome ground battles. Very...Shroomy! :D

The entire Centrality regime needs summary stick-beating and de-education to learn the true totalitarian tyranny techniques of terror. And awfully appalling atrocity-alliterations! :P

I wrote those years ago, actually, and am just recycling. :P

I don't think I posted it on SDN though.

Man... The Imperium exterminates an entire race, and wants to exterminate more... and people focus more on the xenos.

I should go on more wars of extermination!

Why don't we do this: You take the eastern half of the galaxy, I take the western half. When we are done exterminating EVERYTHING, we can then go killing each other with wild abandon!
