Alyrium, you were specifically warned that pulling you shouldn't be pulling all powerful telepaths out of your ass.

Let me rephrase that. This game isn't solely about ways to make yourself all powerful and projects like that out to be appropriately difficult, other wise it's just powergaming.

I only have one... dont worry... Think Lyta with in-system far-sight and powerful short burst telekinesis with a size limit of oh say... a nickle-ron asteroid that is maybe a meter across. Of course, he has more control over small things.

Results are atypical... Most of this little state-secret wee only raised one p rating, and have telekinesis that is capale of making nails and other objects very nasty...

I should note a few things. One, the superlaser can't shatter a planet.. It exists to knock down planetary shields, and even if it could, the Alliance wouldn't bother. Second, it's mounted on a dedicated platform that carries no other weaponry, and lost internal bays for it.

Shit, man. SHIT.

Well, they're shields are roughly equal to those of one of my Cruisers, though my ships are far more 'quality' over 'quantity'. Long Hauls are not built for combat, and this is very much a gamble. Normally, they don't even emerge into realspace, though this one obviously must. If you can field a couple of cruisers or bigger when it's getting into position, you can probably smash it up quite a bit(Though as you can imagine, actually destroying something that big takes alot of effort! Luckily, superlaser equipment is delicate), though don't think I plan to stick around for that.

Well, main gun is about equal, but no other guns, and crap shields. I might get those someday, if I can get more power. Mmm. Power. Capacitors the size of city blocks.

Nitram,

So you managed to disassemble the control system of what is a top secret piece of machinery, find the ansible hidden basically throughout the control system, and put it together flawlessly. Riiight.

Three choices:

One: You missed some of the ansibles. I blow up the cores.

Two: You got all the ansibles, but didn't manage to fool the control system into believing the ansible was still there. Cores blow up spectacularly anyway.

Three. You got all the ansibles, and fooled the control systems into believing the ansibles were still there. They blow up when the challenge/ response goes awry, as they will, since you can't break the encryption keys of all of the different control systems. And even if you could, you'd still have to figure out the relationship between the input and output, which is important, since it uses this response from CENTCOM to figure out how to regulate the power.

And Nitram? It's known as redundancy. And my nation is paranoid as hell.

And my nation is paranoid as hell.
I REALLY need to invade. Jesus. Anyone that paranoid HAS to be dangerous.

I wonder why I'm so paranoid? Maybe because of warmongering nations like yours...

Warmongering? Well, not for the sake of war itself.

I view the STGOD not only as a freeform game, but one with goals. I have made goals for my nation, and to "win" this STGOD will require my achieving those personal goals. Warfare is a completely legitimate method to the achievement of my goals.

Need I remind you that it was not I who set this whole avalanche in motion? I merely put myself at the helm of the beast you, the Azegart and the HAB created.

So we should throw all logic to the wind and assume these cores were never, ever tested before being put on the tender. Now, I realize this might dissapoint some people, but the Black Alliance are not, in fact, fucking retards.

As for the super-duper-impossible-to-sneak-by-redundancy, I am afraid I will now be an asshole. From the bit which started all this..
Beowulf wrote:Since when did you have this capability? I see nothing in the OOB indicating you can do this. I've seen no evidence of this capability prior to you just pulling it out of your ass. So suddenly have this capability, which was completely unknown prior to this, and you're claiming it just because I blew a battlecruiser into dust with an entire Task Force.
So. Where's this uber-redundancy in your OOB? Where's it in your prior posts?

So is mine, yet we don't go through such utter extremes.

Lucky for me, I have the galaxy's most profitable toll plaza :D

And yes, I'm mercantilist, though with a hint of free trade to try and get the galactic economy re-integrated. We take the long view.

Phong, I don't know crap about your nation. WTF are Youma? who are the weird magic-users you have? Your OOB really doesn't touch on it. A brief descritption and explanation would be nice for those of us who weren't in the first STGOD

The Youma are basically humans that were modified by Beryl and the other Atlanteans to be basically immortal. They're stronger and more intelligent than the average human, and IIRC have purple-tinted skin.

If you watch Sailor Moon, you'll soon see who the Youma are.

Phong's magic users are also in line with the magic used in Sailor Moon.

Not quite: mine definately aren't immortal, but they are a lot stronger than your average human. Their skin originally was corpse-gray, but genetic engineering has made them look more or less human.

Til the Lost tackle them in a massive war that burns a few hundred Galaxies to little more than dust.

I thought the Lost already knew that it's a Bad Idea (tm) to tackle the Sixth Imperium.

I wonder who'll be doing more burning -- the 6I or the Lost.

The Lost have massive numerical superiority, the 6I have massive firepower advantages.

Which would win(Particularly since the Lost would be trying to mimic 6I technology from the word go) is up in the air, but I wouldn't want to be in the same universe.

Probably, I can't remember the exact number but it was around that.
