Kidding, kidding.
If you thought
that was stupid, you should've seen the LBX-1 Land Battleship. It was kinda like one of
these.
Needless to say, it never made it off the drawing board.
Ryan, how about establishing diplomatic ties? PeZookia could certainly use a source of natural resources like uranium. You get investment in infrastructure, we get precious nuclear fuel for our power plant expansion program (and nuclear weapons...)
Yes, we do have some excess uranium. I can sell the uranium to you, but not the site, as we may need it for our nuclear plants in future as our population expands.

I was thinking more about investing in the mines and your seaport.

Would San Dorado be interested in collaboration on their space program?

Oh. Well, that'd be alright.
EDIT: How much uranium do you want?

Ryan, this isn't really intended to be a game about 'uber-military wankxorz' as it is about diplomacy, poltics, budgets, brinksmanship, science, and the occasional brushfire wars.
A small Duchy can be a really stable, respectable place --Switzerland, perhaps. They even have a decent arms industry that sells overseas, but it's not the 'sole provider of uberwank ultrakill tech'.
And say what you want about airships, but bear in mind a few things: the average airship can carry much, much more than the average plane; it can do it longer, farther, and cheaper. It can't do it as fast, but it can still be faster than a RO/RO ship. And while it can be shot down, a true Zepp or even Aerostat has thousands of individual gas-filled bags that pop one at a time under fire. A Zepp being shot down could take an hour, whereas a fully-laden transport plane will plummet like a sack of bricks. So there are trade-offs and advantages to Zeppelins, for example, that can make strategic sense in some circumstances.
Didn't you also post a country that had just come out of a warlord civil war?

I was planning on heading towards something like Switzerland, yes.
I'm selling weapons because I
have weapons to sell, rather than demolishing my factories to make room for Vaul knows what.

Yeah, sorry, I was thinking of hydrogen balloons. You would, I imagine, use helium, or something else like that.
Didn't you also post a country that had just come out of a warlord civil war?
A very low-intensity war that was largely ended diplomatically, but still caused some lasting (if isolated) damage that we're recovering from.

*cough*
Um, Coiler? That island? It's mine, as established in
this post. I'd not actually posted a formal claim on the coast, but the island is home to a Cascadian Air Base.

Sorry, I didn't see it.
Do you mind me retconning my post to have them land at a different location?

A remark Rogue just made to me and Coiler's post have me thinking it's time to update the map. al-Akharabat has to be divided into Caravoland and Katangwaland, the New Continent has to be redrawn, the USSR expanded, Japanistani, Zorian, and Cascadian outposts in Veleria added......
Can anyone compile a list of necessary changes and I'll add them to a main map and upload it?
And sure, Coiler. Though they'd probably still be monitored by the RCAF. So your men should be expecting having SF-10Ds flying overhead now and then, with a carrier group showing up nearby until we ascertain your intent.

Good.
Here's my proposed new landing sites, see if you're OK with them:

I wonder how much of a diplomatic disaster it would be to have them show up, only to discover the airbase, say something to the effect of "Oh shit, we're sorry." and then leave for that alternate location, grumbling about "intelligence" all the way.

Um, the western one is in Van Halstoff Territory. More of my land.
Given the lines, I think al-Itani is supposed to control those off-shore islands you've picked as well.
Really, you could land near where you did before, east of al-Itani, and everything would be fine.

Ok. Count that as the landing zone.

I was planning on updating it but...
This is my interpretation of current Frequesue - The Brown bit is the Official 'CFR,' the place occupied by The Son guy, The Numbered Maps is on the Actual Map, Tan is Currently Disputed, Unoccupied or Uncontrolled.
Byzantine Annexed Arabia
Shepland was Annexed by the OD
The Border States were annexed by the USSR
??? Valaria
The Gaymans
Possibly the Equator
And Misteria + Ryan's Thing should be named on the Map

I'm also strong-arming all the Impact Crater Islands into a regional association with the Old Dominion at it's head, in addition to annexing Shepistan, St. Kitteridge, and Eats Shepistan.
Don't forget to draw in the Fucklands(West of Shepland)

Okay, Veleria is first.
I used an old map Skimmer drew up as the basis for the partitioning of al-Akharabat. The red dots represent Japanistani-held ports, and the ones with black lines are the ones that Japanistan vacated over time.
I believe the Caymans are already on the map, the main thing necessary is to name the islands of the Crater Archipelago (WTF is St. Kitteridge, BTW?) and to delineate the islands of Misteria in the North Pacific.

So there's a bit of the CFR between Tian Jiao and the San Doradan mandate that is still controlled only by warlords?

Is the colour that off? It is supposed to be the same as the rest of my stuff, but it does look like the CFR tan, it is controlled by me.

Sonova.... dammit, that old map doesn't have the Misteria island chain in the right spot. It's supposed to be northwest of Veleria.

Without labels, it's hard to tell if something is really controlled. I mean, the AFSR and Klavostan are the same color.

Okay, current map for the world, save that Veleria's not fully updated (and the other map I posted shows that it better definition anyway):

Steve, St. Kitteridge(the "Maine" part just west of the former Shepistan) has also been annexed.
