Well, I hope everyone gets a kick out of that post; I've been struggling to actually write, and I figured better to write something and get everything flowing again then just to sit and hope for inspiration to hit me.

Sweet. Long live the Duke!
Honestly, Akhlut, I would very much like to see more posts in this vein, about various galactic events, GODDAMN UNREAL TIME or otherwise. They're good, they can present an interesting outside viewpoint on events, they're funny, they're relatively compact...
Eh, you get the idea.

My Fenrisians should have mauled some humans for good measure on the excuse that they aren't xenophobic enough.
Instead, I was content with them mauling Bragulans.

Is there a Chamarran pet lobby in the Imperium?

Chamarran pets are deemed too dangerous for good God-Emperor fearing orthodox subjects of the Imperium, comrade.

I think you misunderstood, Fin. It's not that they're too smart; it's that they're too sexy.

See, that's why you want to avoid pet Chamarrans. Too much risk of that. Giant bears and moogles aren't as much of a threat in that department as catgirls.

Re: SDN Worlds 4 Commentary Thread IV
Next Zebes update posted- finally!
Here and in the next chapter, we get to see my take on the role of Heim-capable ships in combat. Bear in mind that the Kavool Empire is a small shoal polity; they've had to learn a lot more about Heim drive than most normal nations would bother to find out. It's something of a specialty, really.
Any resemblance to a Romulan warbird from Star Trek is... not coincidental.

Awesome update. And rather interesting to me, since I'm probably the only polity in the galaxy where everything, from worldships and space monsters to shuttlecraft comes with a Heim drive.

Re: SDN Worlds 4 Commentary Thread IV
You will note, however, that these ships do have fundamental problems. For one, their accuracy isn't stellar- they'd tend to outright miss when firing at anything much smaller than a battlecruiser. For another, Heim-capable munitions are large; their magazine capacity is even less stellar than their accuracy.
And third and finally... well, you'll have to wait for the next chapter to find out what the third problem is.

The Chamarrans are really on my pet list to be honest. Some part of the Imperium regards them as some kind of abhorrent form of humanity. Impure.
As for my theocracy, we are rather technocratic in some ways. Technocratic, because we need tools to crush xenos with it. Technology that serves the needs of war are always pursued with relentless vigour.

Now this is a technocracy. You are just a guy who builds very large battleships and festoons them with skullspikeskullbannerspikeskulls.
