Waiiiiit a second... If you get puppet minors/regionals, I totally get to field a real Azegart Imperial Navy at Regional Power levels.

-edit- or Minor levels, whatever. It was a former PC nation I took by force....

Well if you look at them the Alliance Space Force only fields three Cap Points and only 53 Cruiser Points, though it does field almost 550 in Escort Points. Its only intended to be a local defense force.

The Federation Star Fleet is even weaker with no Cap Points, 31 Cruiser Points, and 360 Escort Points. Damn I'm going to have to edit the Federations Escorts, should have more FFs and less DDs. Ok its now 258 Escort Points.

Both are Defense Forces with little power projection capability mainly responsibility for itnernal commerce protection and similar missions. In the event someone actually invaded one of those nations their navies would only be supporting the UTR in the defense.

So yeah I don't see a problem with an Azegart Navy but I think it should be somewhere around the Federation or Alliance Navies. Suitable for innernal policing and commerce protection but not much more.

Would anyone object if I were to... say, bump the OOB thread? :D

-Edit: It should really be stickied... imo

Look at the stickied threads again, doofus. There's a directory thread up there with links to all the relevants.

Fair enough, I'm thinking power roughly in the area of the Alliance Space Force, then. Perhaps a little larger, as the Azegart Empire is in both a nastier area, and was richer and larger to begin with.

Bah, that's just another form of looking for it :P

Just stick most of it in cruisers and escorts; capital ships are offensive weapons. Some old battleships ought to do as well--retained for lo these seventeen years.

Is anyone here averted to me doing another small (edit) Expansion into nearby space?

No more than 4 capship points, of course. They had a small group of them at the end of STGOD 2, and they'll have some today.

That's a very, very foolish question to ask in the OOC thread.

Wait, there's a point of diminishing returns for big ships? I suddenly want to tool around with my capship points. The Solidarity is getting a little nerfing, and a couple Shooms and Overseers are coming out of nowhere if that's okay.

The rules really should all be posted in a big block somewhere... I'm sure the mods will be OK with that.

Thats one of those things you have to find out IC, not OOC. STGODs aren't always safe, and why do you want to expand?

Your nation already looks to be pretty good sized. You should focus more on increasing trade and things like that to make your nation richer, not just bigger.

I would LOVE to see a Rules page. then to all of you peoples benefit I might stop asking seemingly obvious questions.

Or you should go and conquer some people. Take out another minor, and suddenly, you get a big increase in construction capacity.

Like this one.

How do i increase trade? little or no powers have come into contact with mine or seem to want to. plus war times are only good for war manufacturing, which I do have a good industry set up for... waitaminute :!: thats IT!

Does anyone want to arrange a large trade agreement for supplys of munitions out of the 13? I promise good prices for those interested.

Wrong place to make offers. Contact powers who seem to be in the market IC. I can assure you, for one, that the Fenari and the Loyalist Gorn will be in the market....

Yes i could theoretically go conquer but that would leave my home systems open for attack due to the fact that the only powers even close to me are a good couple thousand LY away. New Roma for instance (is that PC or NPC). plus as i was told by another power, hostilities could come towards me at any time from a certain group (led by the 6th... if you want to debase this tell me now.)

who controlls the Loyalist Gorn. also will i be seen as helping them or rather just helping myself if i went into a trade compact with them.

Me, but the Commonwealth doesn't.

Of course, that's a whole bucket of fish right there, as you well know the situation the Loyalist Gorn are in...

So could i do a Trade compact with the implication being that i am in no way concerned with the battles down there and am simply out for profit?

It's very possible to sell weapons while remaining neutral; but there's always a chance that the Entente will see you as a squish-target for it. It's a risk, like any other thing which is worth doing.

Fisher, in your new post are you talking about your decision to support the Stuarts, or your post supporting the Gorn PLC?
