I should point out that Oblast is by no means defenseless. If you try a raid, be prepared to be spanked.

Yes. We are there to broker a peace treaty with each other. :)

EDIT:

Also, it was a pain in the ass, but I managed to transcribe Marcos' real-life Martial Law speech. I searched the internet, but I couldn't find any texts. The best I could find were PHOTOGRAPHS of the transcripts, which I had to transcribe all over again, replacing "Philippines" with "Feelipeens" and "Martial" with "Martian". :)

Yes! MARTIAN LAW!

When will there be executions for wasting oxygen? :D

Quick Umerian reaction some time this evening I think.

My idea is for Third Protocol to be some kind of UN version of the Red Cross, except run by robots. Like, aid worker Bentusi. If this is seen as unduly encroachment on the modhammer however I can switch it to something else, hence why I kept their precise nature deliberately vague.

Their symbol is, of course:

From this.

Does this mean Sidney Hank now has enough free time to meet with Vincent Arrowny? :D

... okay, I suppose I forgot about that. Mea culpa and everything. Imma get back to you, like, tomorrow.

(I'm going to have serious trouble keeping my unreal times from blurring into some kind of bizarre noncausal horrorscape right out of a Dali painting.)

No problem. I've had a lack of creative energy myself, so I wasn't rushing to get it done. But I feel a tiny spark so hope to work with it before it fizzles (which is to say, I waste it on something else; this isn't a "OMG RESPOND TODAY" type of thing).

By the way, people: Any ideas for the names of my fleet hives? I mean, the planet hives kept their names from the homeworld, and named their planets for themselves (except Locri, he renamed himself for the homeworld) but I'm having trouble coming up with twenty fleet names. I'm thinking, since they were built to be the minds of fleets, they'd be named for their flagship. Agree? If so, I have one name already, for Locri's fleet: Shield of Ages. Any other suggestions?

Hey guys, I'll be busy with university stuff for the rest of this week. Have to do two take-home tests and study for two more, so in the meantime don't beat me up too horribly, ok? :P

On the same general theme, you might try Claw of Eternity, Fate's Dagger, things like that.

OK, that makes three definites. I think Sword of Time and Guardian of Eons sound good, too.

I want to write a scene in the Ascendancy featuring the Umerian embassy SCIENCE! officer helping out with the immediate post-nuke crisis response as best he can, but I just flat out won't have time for it until the whole thing has become rather stale.

:(

I'd like to know what these guys exactly are, because somehow now we have the UN at our backyards.

They're not the UN, they're from the UN. An intergalactic version of the Red Cross basically, run by robots. They don't usually come this far out, being instead content to stick around UN space cleaning up after natural disasters and whatnot, but they made an exception today.

Problem is, Siege, what if someone attacks them, even if by accident? Would the UN have to step in?

I can mention it obliquely, if you like, and you can write a more in-depth version later if you still want to?

I don't know about D. Dragon, but I do have plans to write some more things for the CENTINTERN Conference, I just need to remember the characters of the Union of Eerie and Huuron's representatives.

Also: For people who have played the past SDNW games, could I send any of you some questions over PM about how you went about dealing with the international relations aspect of the games? As I am writing a paper on the SDNW games as a metaphorical world running international relations solely on the individual level, I would like to know the mindset the players had when writing things.

Go ahead with the questions, Karmic. Might take a while to answer them though.

Behold, the rescue efforts on Firmament! Pardon any spelling or grammer errors, it's late, but I just had to finish that!

By the way, Karmic, we already have an M. Bison clone in the game.

Hmm. Maybe this guy is a CLONE of the M. Bison clone! Who knows? Who knew? :D

EDIT: Also, man. Prime Mininister Smith. What a guy. Is that, like, a mini-minister or something?
