Question Regarding the Number of Senate Pods

The number of pods in the Grand Convocation Chamber was stated to be 1,024 in the TPM Visual Dictionary and that number has lived on in the EU. However, the TPM Insider's Guide CD-ROM revealed that the number was actually twice that (based on what the F/X people have said). Now, based on that, is it enough to argue that the VD etc. are wrong as the movies might potentially falsify that number?
