Firewarrior ; How do you beat the final boss?

Post by Colonel-Commissar Gaunt »

Does anyone know how to beat the last boss in final warrior? As in the Governor-Greater-Daemon thingy. I've thrown all my firepower a it repeatedly yet it never seems to die nor do my weapons seem to affect it.
Attention all vessels, this is Lord Admiral Rath. It is clear to me that we cannot win this fight by utilising conventional weapons of warfare. I order you all to disengage and withdraw. The Dominus Astra shall be the fiery sword of retribution that ends this war. I repeat, disengage and pull away. The Emperor's blessing be upon you!

Gamefaqs knows.

If you ever come across the novel version, don't pick it up.
I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in his stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Counciler or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate, who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who constantly says: "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I cannot agree with your methods of direct action"; who paternalistically believes he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by a mythical concept of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait for a "more convenient season."

Your rapid fire tau plasma gun thing is suprissingly effective on it. Strange as it doesn't seem to do anything to any other oponent.

Yeah, you have to take out the altars of each of the Chaos gods, and as you do nasties teleport in. Taking out the candelabras above the doors inside the rooms also unlocks something, can't remember what though. Anyway, after you do that Sean Pertwee/Mr Governor Dude appears with the Ethereal, tops him, then becomes a Changer of the Ways. If I remember correctly it's simply a matter of hitting him with your burst cannon in the chest, then if you run out switching to railgun. Somewhat uninspired really, 'shoot the big guy till he's dead'...

It is a pain in the arse, but frankly the penultimate level was more difficult, just for sheer arseholery towards the player.

Plant the bombs, kill the baddies, snipe the candelabras. While doing this, make sure you're armed with the Burst Cannon and Rail Rifle.

Use the Rail Rifle on the guv, then the Burst Cannon on the Daemon. He should die before you run out of shots if you collected all the ammo you could.
