I started writing this post just as the video was firing up. I was expecting something more...tricky, although when they started to say "the universe, like a watch, has many delicate parts in it..." I didnt like the direction it was going in. I have my doubts

Its another piece of ID propaganda, with a prevailing comparison between God/universe and Watchmaker/watch. If you are not tired of this bullshit then you can watch this and play spot the fallacy.

Oh well, back to reading Dawkins...

The universe is not inherently supportive to life. In fact, it's mind-bogglingly hostile for the most part. Radiation, extreme temperatures, incredibly heavy gravity, vacuum, deadly asteroids, planet-spanning storms, sulfluric acid atmospheres and huge balls of fire, all of which speed through space, collide, explode, collapse, burn, freeze over, then burn again.

Yeah, it's a really stable system made of many delicate parts. Right.

The universe is very conducive to producing rocks. This is established by how many rocks there are now. We may call this "the lithic principle."

I thought the universe was more specifically conducive to the production of Iron, rather than Rocks. So, ferrous principle.

The universe is amazingly well-made for the production of empty space. Indeed, even as we speak, the amount of empty space is increasing. Clearly, the vacuum principle is correct.
