The Miscreant Kittie Rose

Post by Coyote »

It has been suggested that Kittie Rose be given a custom title.

In this thread here, and in this earlier thread here, Miss (?) Rose has displayed some degree of ignorance.

However, Miss Kittie is not truly offensive or bothersome; she is in fact moderately entertaining and may, some day, have some amount of potential. The motion is made to title Kittie Rose in some manner.

Have at!

Bad Coyote Edit!--
I forgot the "Abstain" option. Just use the "Other; Please Specify" to state an abstention.

Senators might also note this thread. Of course in his (her? its?) favor, this thread seems like it could possibly be mildly productive.
A Government founded upon justice, and recognizing the equal rights of all men; claiming higher authority for existence, or sanction for its laws, that nature, reason, and the regularly ascertained will of the people; steadily refusing to put its sword and purse in the service of any religious creed or family is a standing offense to most of the Governments of the world, and to some narrow and bigoted people among ourselves.

Just a title. Honestly the idiot hasn't done anything truly ban worthy just yet. Either the fucker will screech some incoherent arguement that will make Mike ban it or will live the board life as a titled moron.

I think she's cute. Not "OHMYGOD BAN!" worthy in the least, or demanding a truly offensive title.

So "Widdle Bunnymuffin" it is. I think she's the board's version of Mihoshi.

Chewtoy. Kittie doesn't seem quite soft-headed and oblivious enough for Bunnymuffin, and chewtoys do squeak entertainingly when used.

Bunnymuffin, but if I thought it woudl be any good I would have voted for "no title" instead. To be honest, she is kind of ignorant, but not an outright troll. Annoying, yes, but so are a number of other people we allow to remain with a mild title at worst. Such as, Ein and his spamomatic idiotic crap and of course Shep. I'm sure there are those of us who would love to have gotten rid of one or both but that probably won't happen (yet.) I tend to see Kittie in that same light, and if we let Ein and Shep stick around, we can let Kittie. If (s)he gets worse, then we can always vote to deal with her later on. Or maybe she'll just piss Mike off. Whichever comes first.

Another reason I think a mild title (or no title) is worthwhile is that titles tend to be used far too often (the same way banning does) and it loses its effectiveness after awhile. Maybe we need to think up new and inventive forms of punishment :P

Edit: Its also probably a reason why I wouldn't use chewtoy or VI. They get used too much as it is, and I'd like to reserve them for someone MORE deserving of it. (I can think of a few...)

Double-edit: Another thought (and i know i keep having them) is that for the most partt, she's under my radar and I don't really care to deal with her. Its fairly obvious others like to use her as a "chew toy" so to speak, but that doesn't seem quite unanimous. As it is, she's not "notable' enough to be truly a target dummy, the way (for example) Axis Kast is/was (I don't even know if he's still around, nor do i particularily care.) To me "Chew Toy" tends to signify that she's worth my notice or ire. Bunnymuffin, on the other hand, kind of emphasizes that I don't take her seriously (as a problem.) As I said, if things change the title or her status can always be altered.

Triple Edit: Okay last one I promist. I noticed what Surlethe said, and given that, if there is a possibility they might be productive (and can endure the trials of actually being here enough to learn) then there's no real reason (again yet) to heap on more abuse than neccessary.

For the record, I voted for "Minor Miscreant". I don't think Kittie Rose is either bad enough nor consistently stupid enough for a "Chewtoy" or VI title; there are others, I think, who deserve that sort of serious title far more. At the same time, "Widdle Bunnymuffin" just gets a major "what the fuck?" out of me; it's amusing, but seems sort of irrelevent.

That said, Kittie Rose's start here with two threads HoSed and another one which (IMNSHO) could have been hosed deserves some attention, but there also seems to be a real possibility the user could shape up and contribute a lot.

Kittie strikes me as a bit inexperienced and/or naive more than anything else. Possibility just in need of more time and maturity. For now, I wouldn't suggest a ban. Let's see how things develop.
