Are there USB harddrive mounts/caddies that work with SATA HDDs? Or are they still IDE only?

*edit* Never mind. This can now be changed to a possibly more complex question.

How easy is it to move an entire iTunes catalogue, files etc over to a new system? Or do I have to re-add all my files from scratch (including re-tagging them)?

There are a few I've seen, you'ld just need to ask around at the local computer shops to find one.

There's an easy way to do it, I just can't remember it right now.

Windows, I assume?

Do you have iTunes set to manage your library for you (where every file you play is copied into a library for iTunes)?

I've never specifically used the tagging system with iTunes myself, so I can't answer for that part. But when I recently installed a new system for myself all I did was un-authorise the old system with iTunes, copy the music files/folders accross, authorised the new system, and finally imported the music folders into the new iTunes library. Haven't noticed any problems since.

Sweet. That sounds like it should be easy.

I'm currently HDD juggling to get all of the data I want to take with me onto my 250gb SATA (including steam caches, music and so forth) and it looks like iTunes might have a really useful "export" feature I can take advantage of.

Yeah, if you move your /music folder to somwhere and then 're import' it, it should keep all your songs, id tagging, playlists, etc. It's worked for me several times.
