Stop me from taking a hammer to my pc...

Post by Superman »

Long story short; I had a huge battle with a virus. I won, but now when I try to load a program I use to make shipping labels, I get this message:

The underlying connection was closed: Could not establish trust relationship for the SSL/TLS secure channel.

Please help!

So you know why the program would need to have a secure connection to anything?

No. All I know is that worked up until this point. I might have deleted something by mistake... I don't know. I killed the virus and now this.

You should always nuke your installation after a virus infection anyway....

And how'd you get it?

Yeah but, you would expect superman to be "morally superior".

True.

And I will have you know that this one did NOT come from porn. Even though I download and wank to a ton of it, this one came from someone else over a messenger.

This is not productive.

What's the label maker called? Have you checked their FAQ or help files? Because from the sound of it you just need to reinstall, reactivate and/or reconfigure the secure connection stuff. Does the program have any online component at all? Online ordering or something? That might be the culprit.

Well, the point is good practice is to nuke everything/reinstall after a virus infection anyway, which would/might incidentally fix your problem. Of course, it's a pain in the ass...
