BSODs When Printing

Hey guys, I'm at work at the moment...we're having some strange computer problems, and I was wondering if anyone could offer any troubleshooting suggestions.

It seems every time the user prints a Visio document, it gets a blue screen of death. What would cause Windows to BSOD on print? Faulty printer drivers usually just cause the printer to spit out garbage.

All computers running Windows XP Pro SP2. Visio 2003.

Does the BSOD reference a driver?

Are we talking local or network printer?

Does it BSOD once you try to open the Print dialog, or after you've selected a printer and hit "Print"?

Printer drivers or, possibly, a faulty USB printer (a damaged USB device can in general cause it, but much more often it just doesn't work) or a faulty USB port/controller are all possibilities, among other things.

Do give some more details per Uranium's post please.

I'll have to go over these things with the user when I go back on Monday. Yes, it is a network printer. I guess the first thing to try is killing the printer driver; if that doesn't work, I'll add it as a local printer pointed at the IP.
