Well this is my first post, but I have been a frequent visitor to stardestroyer.net for a while. So… here it goes:

Read it if you have a strong heart, but I know It might be very painful so I’ll summarize :

The OP wants to have a debate about who would win the Star Destroyer or The Constitution class federation vessel . He claims to be doing this for the newbs who missed out on the debate the first time. Not so bad, Right?

This trek idiot essentially wants to Reminisce about the old days when it wasn’t completely obvious who would win He pretty much says that all star trek cannon is valid for the debate, but star wars is limited to Episodes 4,5,and 6. Yeah… that’s totally fair.

We pretty much see all Ye olde “whiney star trek baby” arguments pop up.

“Those asteroids weren’t vaporized!” “If star destroyers are so powerful why were they destroyed by X” etc.

Well you may be asking your self “why has this newb posted this?” well one, if its not too painful to read it might amuse you. Two, because I am not a member of spacebattles (and never will be) I hope that some of you who are could perhaps debate on this thread and set them straight.

Anyway, I've noticed this thread before but I never actually paid any attention.
The guy who started it is a weird one - he refuses to accept other people's calcs regarding anything by claiming "if you want to debate here prove it yourself".
By this logic you can demand him to prove all the scientific and mathematic theories he used for his calcs (if any...) because they weren't discovered by him but by other people, like Einstein, Newton, etc.

Yeah.. I should have ignored it too, but now that I have seen it the damage is done . I really have trouble tolerating peple like him and the other trekies on the thread. like you said they disregard every ones calculations while putting up their own bogus ones.

By the way I see someone tried to link to Stardesroyer.net near the begining of the thread, but he/she was shut down quickly.

Do not link to ANY other sites, or threads. If something is to be accepted as proof, it must be posted here, using only the canon outlined in the OP, by posters here.

I like how he's trying to hide his Trek biased agenda behind a wall of "Think of the children!" Which sounds almost despicably like Catholics who think creationism should be taught in school because kids "should have a right to choose".
