Quick question about Constantine

Post by Dominus Atheos »

What was Constantine trying to do when he put his forearms together towards the end of the movie and said "into the light I command thee"?

Of course i may be wrong, but it seemed obvious that he was trying to reveal whomever it was messing around with Constantine and Rachel Weisz's character.

Magic spell. It's explained a bit better in the novel. Basically, when together, the tattoo is a conjuring symbol that lets him draw "astral light" and do some magic. In this case, making the thing appear.

It struck me as ridiculasly obvious he was employing some type of magical method of revealing who was attacking.

Ahh, yes. The Wyld Stallyns. Excellent. Though I don't think they were metal, they just rocked out.

On the tattoo thing, yeah it was a spell to allow John to see all the random shit that could hide from even his psychic sight. Usually things most heinous, but he totally kicks their asses, so it's alright.

Personally, I found the idea of a seal in the form of two tattoos to be a pretty cool one...
