Aragorn and Return of the King

Post by HemlockGrey »

I know that footage was cut from TTT explaining that Aragorn may be the lost King of Gondor- but it was, obviously, cut- hence the term, 'cut footage'.

So, how do you think they're going to intergrate Aragorn's kingliness into ROTK? It was alluded in FOTR, but that's hardly enough.

Tt's directly stated in FOTR that he is the heir to the throne of Gondor. I'm not seeing anything else being needed outside of ROTK.

"My brother, my Captain, my King!"

You haven't been paying a hell of a lot of attention to the movies.

Ah-heh...it was a year since I watched FOTR, but ten minutes after I posted this I watched the DVD. My bad....

Although, something to that effect in TTT would have been nice...

Considering how much time Aragorn's and his band of characters already got in the film, no. I'm glad there wasn't a second more of them, Helms deep and related events took too much away from the other bands.

I am in a uniqe possition. I haven't read the books in, well over a decade. While I know the general plot, alot of the stuff is "wow, I forgot about that." Now obviously, some stuff was changed and/or taken out but I thought the focus on the battle of Helms Deep was just about right. The story line with Fodo, Sam, and Smeagal was about right too but could have used a little more with the addition of the raiding party of Gondor and the battle at that town with the river that the name escapes me at the moment. The only one that needed more time dedicated for it was Marry and Pipin with the Ents. IMHO

But as far as board culture in general, I do think that young male overaggression is a contributing factor to the general atmosphere of hostility. It's not SOS and the Mess throwing hand grenades all over the forum- Red

Oh, see its been along time. Any way I was more refering to the screen time on each group as brought up by SeaSkimmer.
