BRISTOL, Tenn. - Three people are dead and another "gravely injured" in a shooting this morning at Edgemont Towers, Police Chief Blaine Wade said this afternoon.
The victims have not been identified.
Meanwhile, police said they are searching for Rusty Rumley Jr., 26, of Watauga, Tenn., in connection with the shooting. Wade said the shooting is believed to be "domestic-violence related."
A number of law enforcement officers from four agencies are on Rasnick Hollow Road, just across the Carter County line, trying to find Rumley, who is believed to have abandoned his pickup truck and fled on foot, according to Wade. Rumley and his parents are believed to live on the road.
Sgt. L.C. Tester with the Carter County Sheriff's Office said Rumley has military experience and is believed to be armed and dangerous.
Rumley is described as 5 feet, 7 inches tall, weighing about 155 pounds with black hair.
UPDATE: A Fourth Victim Has Died In Edgemont Towers Shooting
Bristol Tennessee Police officials say a fourth shooting victim has died at Bristol Regional Medical Center.
Police also confirmed that the shooter, Rusty Rumley, has also died from a self-inflicted gunshot.

Maybe I'm just a totally desensitized American prick, but my first reaction when hearing about these is something along the lines of "Get back to me when the death toll is in the double digits."

It's not about being a prick, just the desensitized part. I mean, we have a shooting about every 3-4 weeks. You just can't keep feeling emotionally attached.
I would be interested to know how the number of civilian shooting deaths in the US stacks up against the number of military deaths in Iraq, Afghanistan and any other countries we are conducting operations in, of all the countries involved, since boot one hit in Afghanistan, in what, late 2001?

Over 11,000 murders are comitted with firearms every year in the US. So in 3 years you can easily equal the number of deaths of armed forces personnel in every conflict since and including the whole of Vietnam...
Face it, ordinarily a murder spree with 3-4 victims in it ordinarily would get no media coverage at all, unless there was something unusual about the victims and/or their relationship to the killer. I mean something really unusual, like some sort of interracial gay incest thing or something wierd like that.
Maybe because of the recent uptick in school-spree killings, or because it's an election year, or both, but now it seems that every murder with more than one victim is getting attention.
Something about Libertarianism always bothered me. Then one day, I realized what it was:
Libertarian philosophy can be boiled down to the phrase, "Work Will Make You Free."
In Libertarianism, there is no Government, so the Bosses are free to exploit the Workers.
In Communism, there is no Government, so the Workers are free to exploit the Bosses.
So in Libertarianism, man exploits man, but in Communism, its the other way around! If all you want to do is have some harmless, mindless fun, go H3RE INST3ADZ0RZ!! Grrr! Fight my Brute, you pansy!
