Can't Upload Picture

Pardon my lack of computer skills, but how does one upload a picture to this site? Whenever I try, it just gives the file address.

Erm, that actually didn't work. I'm not trying to load something from the internet, but rather an image from my computer. It just says:

file:///home/WHITFIELDSCHOOL/tom.davis/Desktop/Baerne%20Island.jpg

With the image brackets, it looks like this.

[img]file:///home/WHITFIELDSCHOOL/tom.davis/Desktop/Baerne%20Island.jpg[/img]

Any thoughts on how to go about fixing this?

You can't post an image from your computer. You would have to upload it to an image hosting site first.

Register a www.photobucket.com or www.servimg.com account and you can upload your photos through them.

I'm going to segue to a problem of my own here...

I haven't been able to oad Photobucket on my computer for several days now. I can't access their site and no hosted pictures display for me. And it's not a browser-based problem, because it doesn't load if I try it in IE, either.
