A bomb threat targeting the NIU Health Services building (near the intersection of Lucinda Avenue and Normal Road) was received today around 2:00 p.m. Police have cleared the building. No pedestrian or vehicular traffic will be allowed in that area until further notice.

As the location of the February 14th shootings there, I thought this might be of some interest. It certainly is to me, being stuck here.

First a shooting and now this. Have the nut jobs started finding themselves as out of the way places to hang out as possible or is it just me?

The threat has been deemed not credible. Here's the quote from the link given in the opening post.

The Health Services building (which includes the adjacent Telecommunications building) has been reopened. Campus police have completed a thorough search of the building utilizing a canine unit and have determined that the threat was not credible.

Still, I think I'm done here. I did what I could during the shootings but, damn it, I'm not used to this shit and I don't want to be used to it. Maybe I'll go to Aurora.
