Third photo is nifty.
Tip for next time - disable your flash when shooting through windows/glass, it doesn't help and just makes the distortion worse ;).
Any more pics upcoming?

The B-47 there is the second B-47 at the museum. The first is an ERB-47H in the cold war hanger. The one in the picture is the one

For the record the third photo is of the cockpit of the X-3.

Awesome pics Shep. 8) :)

The Mighty F-105 is my new wallpaper.
The Hardened Mobile Launcher of SDN World Fame.
That made me laugh.

This reminds me of my visit to the Serbian Air Force museum in Belgrade. They have some awesome WW2 planes. And even pieces of an American bomber they shot down(at least they say so).

Shame I lost the CD.

Awesome pics...I admit to being a huge YF-12 fanboy, so seeing it there, even with the shot not really capturing much of it, is really cool.

Look at those chicken leg landing gear on the YF-17.

Of course that is in comparison to the landing gear that were necessary for, it's decendant, the F/A-18 to survive landing on aircraft carriers.

Is there a reason why there is steam/dust blowing around the landing gear of the YF-17, or am I just imagining that?

Two things:

1. I was there the day (19 January) some nutcase took off the nose of the B-26 with the lift (hence why it is under restoration). Didn't see it happen, but was saw it as they were putting up the plastic cover.

2. The rail car is for a Peacekeeper, not a Minuteman. Says so on the sign.
