				Flair v Bear pt 1.
In fact, fuck that. Greatest ad in history.
We have a goddamn Commie Bear, Rick Flair and Hell March all in one commercial.

It may be the greatest video game ad in history. But whether it is the greatest ad in history remains to be seen, as we don't know how the fight ends.
"16 time world champion..."

Funny, but a little too drawn out. A shorter conversation between the desk girl (who wasn't all the hot, or even a stereotypical gym desk girl) and Flair would have made it better.

It wasn't the bear suit that sold me on this ad. Nor was it Rick Flair himself. Nor was it Hell March. No, no, no.
It was that little Soviet hat the bear was wearing. Complete with the little red star and everything.

Not even the Hell March transition into a Michael Buffer shout?

Maybe if the girl were hotter, I'd give it to Flair vs. Bear. As it is, Rhino crushing car > Old Man hitting on moderately attractive woman getting hit by oversized stuffed bear.

Then you are a fool. The rhino isn't even crushing any worthwhile cars, nor is the ad particularly engaging. In fact I skipped most of it.
Your opinions are wrong.

They're both pretty mediocre as advertisments...
I'll give the EA's team a point for the Hell March Michael Buffer thing... But the commercial's long, and lacking much point...
The Rhino gets THQ's team a couple dozen points though... I'd've given them more, if they'd have built a land raider or Russ...
In the end... I don't honestly think either are going to convince too many people to actually buy the games... (Especially since both are steaming piles....)

				No.
Missile Command is the best game EVER.
Oh. This is for an ad.
In that case, the
Florida no-smoking ad is the best ever.

This ad is neither stylin' or profilin'.
It's just a box with treads driving over crappy cars.

a
metal box, sir
itt we try to one-up each other on how dismissive we can be of re-tooling an entire armored vehicle and actually putting it through a grueling test which probably required dozens of man-hours of maintenance afterward

If it was a Baneblade

I am confused... Where did they get the game? or what mod did they use for the ad?
Anyways both the 40k ad and the C&C ads are directed specifically at their target audience, people who know what the ad is talking about. If taken out of context, it isn't as awesome...

first of all the Rhino ad did not feature Jeremy Clarkston. That's a serious deduction in points there, and makes one wonder if the rhino could defeat a used Toyota pick up...

I must disagree with this.
It's a
tank. Crushing
cars. With a pretty slick heavy metal / orchestral fusion soundtrack to boot.
This has appeal to anyone with even a milligram of testosterone in their system.

Ok, i just have to ask.
Why?
So cars are being crushed by a very ugly tank. So fucking what? Is it supposed to be some kickass argument? Why should it be so appealing? Seriously tell me, I obviously lack this mythical substance you speak of.
Forget that the ad itself is horrible and pointless as you already have to know what's it's all about to even understand it. Even then it doesn't do anything other than to appeal to WH40K fanboys. It says nothing absolutely nothing about the game itself. Granted, the fact they actually made a rea-life rhyno is impressive, but that's beside the point. It might as well be a clip about engineer grad students showing their project.

Dude, cars getting crushed by tanks is like a flamethrower, or a monster truck, a personal jetpack, or a suit of armor designed to fight bears - if it has to be explained to you, you're already a lost cause.
Forget that the ad itself is horrible and pointless as you already have to know what's it's all about to even understand it.
What the fuck is there to understand?
"See big tank. See big tank crush cars. Crush, tank, crush."
Someone who has absolutely no familiarity with WH40K whatsoever can recognize a fucking tank. That it's modeled on a specific fictional one is irrelevant to someone who isn't familiar with the material, because a tank is a tank.
It says nothing absolutely nothing about the game itself.
And just how many ads out there actually tell anyone
anything about their product? Geico, Budweiser, and a host of other companies all run highly successful ad campaigns which tell all of jack and shit about their products. For that matter, neither does the OP's ad (which is also awesome).
It might as well be a clip about engineer grad students showing their project.
And what's wrong with that? The ad is cut well, scored well, and advertises the product at the end.
