Indeed, though I tend to think the main interest of the article is the new methods of erosion they've discovered (snowpack.) It doesn't really suggest life however. One still has to demonstrate that Mars was warm enough and wet enough early in it's history for life to develop. And so far, the evidence seems to indicate that it's always been a bit on the cold and arid side.
