Running too fast (computers)

Post by Shrykull »

I was wondering if anyone knew any programs that help your computer run slower, like when say you are running an old DOS program or have tons of RAM, I heard that there are some programs that just give the CPU some extra (how, might I ask, out of curiousity, what does it make it do?) I tried this program called moslo for dos programs, it didn't work all that well, I played Space Quest 1, the game went slower, my character moved slower, but the spider drone chasing me didn't! My next computer will have a gigabyte of RAM and pentium 4.0 processor so I might need a program like that.

www.tweakfiles.com has all nessary computer stuff

Second you could just manualy clock back your Procceser if you have enough know-how

Or altervantly get somthing like SETI@Home, BURNCpu or 3DMark2002 and set that to run in loops, that should eat up some CPU speed :D

I amuse you have some old DOS game you want to play but goes insanly fast thanks to your CPU
