HONOLULU - A Honolulu television station is reporting that conservative radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh was taken to a hospital with chest pains.

KITV reported today that paramedics responded to a call at 2:41 p.m. from the Kahala Hotel and Resort where Limbaugh is vacationing.

The station, citing unnamed sources, said paramedics treated Limbaugh and took him to The Queen's Medical Center in serious condition.

Queen's spokesman N. Makana Shook says the hospital is unable to comment on the report.

Limbaugh was seen golfing at Waialae Country Club earlier this week. The country club is next to the Kahala Hotel and Resort.

I mean it. There are few people whom I wish death upon, even fewer still that are my countrymen, but he's one of them. He's a cancer upon this nation and I can't imagine losing him would do anything but benefit the country and, by extension, the world. I don't wish death on anyone, and as terrible as Limbaugh is, there are people who are worse and far more damaging. I'd also argue that the complexities of causality make it impossible to really know weather the results of anyone's life are a net loss or gain for the world.

If you want me to demonstrate that his life has an obvious utilitarian value, however, I would point out that damn near ever time he says something, it reveals the Right wing for the pathetic, dishonest, pitiful, violent mob that it has become. In that sense, perhaps, he has done us all a favor.

I would wish him to receive the same treatment as any middle-class American could expect from the system he endorses, but that would be tantamount to wishing him dead, which I cannot. As a matter of principle, I would want him to be treated; emotionally, I may wish differently, but that's neither here nor there.

HONOLULU – Conservative radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh was taken to a hospital with chest pains on Wednesday and was in serious condition, a Honolulu television station reported.

Paramedics responded to a call at 2:41 p.m. from the Kahala Hotel and Resort where Limbaugh is vacationing, KITV reported. The station, citing unnamed sources, said the 58-year-old Limbaugh was taken to The Queens Medical Center in Honolulu.

Kit Carson, Limbaugh's chief of staff, told The Associated Press from Milwaukee that he wasn't able to provide any information.
Queens spokeswoman N. Makana Shook said the hospital was unable to comment on the report.

Emergency Medical Services spokesman Bryan Cheplic said paramedics took a male of unknown age to an area hospital from the Kahala Hotel and Resort. He said he had no further information.

Limbaugh was seen golfing at Waialae Country Club earlier this week, KITV said. The country club is next to the Kahala hotel.
For privacy reasons, hotel spokeswoman Sheila Donnelly Theroux said she was unable to acknowledge that Limbaugh is a guest.
In 2001, Limbaugh reported he had lost most of his hearing due to an autoimmune inner-ear disease. He had surgery to have an electronic device placed in his skull to restore his hearing.

Two years later Limbaugh acknowledged he was addicted to pain medicine. He blamed the addiction on severe back pain, and took a five-week leave from his radio show to enter rehab.

At this point looks like a siezable heart attack on Rushs part.

I was always under the impression thumb out meant "blade" = death, that closed fist, thumb inside meant "spare him", originally, and that the whole up/down thing was added for film.

No, not really. Why do you think something is amiss? Just because Rush is human does not automatically entitle his life to respect. I do place value on human life and that's based off how they've lived their life. Some people are worthly of the highest respect and whose loss is a great loss for humanity while others I value no more than an unwanted house fly. Does this mean I think Rush should be hunted down and killed? No, absolutely not because he was exercising his right to free speech. However, I do welcome his death if he dies of natural causes.

Rush has used his influence to push forward his agenda of hate. Sure, he's done nice things but those things simply do not compare to the amount of hate he's inspired against certain groups of people in this country who are only guilty of being different.
