OEEG - Civilization Review
I'd embed it, but I don't know how. Anyway, video. I'm surprised that no one put it up yet, since it's been up for most of the day.

Behold my powers!
Embedding is simple. Copy the URL of the video. Then klick on the "youtube" button up where all the other BBS-codes are.
Insert the URL and remove all the crap that Youtube likes to add to it.
As an example, the URL Youtube gave me was this:
I had to remove everything behind the first "&" - that's usually how you do it. It then looked like this:
Nice review, as always.
Enterprise is really underwhelming here, which is captures nicely.

Even simpler way to embed YouTube files: Below each video on a YouTube page is a "Share" button that you can click on which generates an easy-to-use URL. Simply copy the short url that links directly to the video. In this case:
Paste that link into your BBS message, highlight it and then press the "youtube" button.

I knew this one would be good since I remembered the written review Chuck had done.
Would you like to upgrade this unit, retire this unit, move this unit, or sleep?
Also, for once they actually had a good bit of continuity. The Mallurians were one of the species wiped out by Nomad in TOS.

That's not really impressive continuity - they just took the old names and costumes and threw them in there. Also, for once they actually had a good bit of continuity. The Mallurians were one of the species wiped out by Nomad in TOS.
It's not like it was an important part of the plot or anything.

Well I thought it was one of the few nice little nods they gave to the original series, especially since this was only season one.Serafina wrote:That's not really impressive continuity - they just took the old names and costumes and threw them in there. Also, for once they actually had a good bit of continuity. They usually either ignored continuity completely, or in the case of season four, tried to shoehorn in direct connections from all over TOS replete with bad twists (the Orions) and trying to explain shit that shouldn't be explained (Klingon forehead ridges).

Yes, it's nice, but not something praiseworthy.
Given all their butt-raping of continutiy, that little bit doesn't improve anything.
