Sorry for my absence and my delay on this, but I just put my Gothamite task force onto the Pendleton coalition page. I put them in the invasion fleet, though if that's not what you had in mind Steve that can be easily changed. Or they can just get their shit rocked by the Collector's first volley.

I believe I had you listed as the invasion fleet member. Generally closer powers - you, Akhlut, Baerne, Shep, Katr - make up the "invasion fleet" contingent and the distant ones - Shinn, Rogue, Zor - make up the blockade fleet.

Oh Jesus, Steve, PeZook, that was amazing! Oh man! This is an unexpected, but beautiful, twist in Sara's character development and a very innovative, interesting, and mang, great form of fleshing things out and expositionings! What an awesome way to write a space battle!

Hmmm... I commited nearly 4000 or more points to my little liberation....'
EDIT: Actually, it's 5200 points. Throw in 200,000 Astartes, 0.5-1million Imperial Guard, 1-2 million PDF.

Just FYI, the Collector flotilla has the Monolith, four Viper cruisers and the following parasite craft:
4x Wasp Patrol Craft (ultralight, corvette-sized)
20x Scythe Gunboat (Heavily armed attack craft)
50x Mantis fighter/bomber (Self-explanatory, heavy fighters)

Moral of the STory: Do what the Imperium does: Bring so mcuh firepower you can lay waste to a planet many many times over.
There is no such thing as overkill.

There is no such thing as overkill.
There is no "overkill". There is only "open fire" and "I need to reload."
I have to say, the more I learn about the Collectors, the more I am fascinated by them. I can't wait to see just how powerful that Monolith is.

How on Earth do you people make your nation profiles? I realize I have no warp gates (well, one deactivated one) and no hyperspace junctions. I spent all my NCPs on sectors and colonies. Should I trade my sectors for these things? Should I trade my sectors for GDP boosts? Is it worth doing that? Can I use GDP to BUY a warpgate? Can I use GDP to BUY a hyperspace junction? Or use GDP to buy GDP boosts? What.
(I just want to increase my money so I can buy more ships.)
Also, how on Earth do you do these military acquisitions thing? I compute the percentage of my GDP for the military, say 10%, and then...

Each year you can build some ships. Since it's peacetime you shouldn't build more than 20% of GDP worth of ships, more like 10% would probably make sense. Figure out what you want to do with X% of your GDP worth of ships; mods can tell you if you picked a reasonable value of X (though Siege might be biased...

)
So my GDP is 59000$ a year, and I built just under 5900$ of ships this year. Well, started 5900$ worth of ships; some of them won't be finished for a long time.

So I'm guessing we should call This Land (of Pendleton) My Grave?
Oh, Firefly. Whatever would we do without you?

ever.

This needs to happen. There can be massive budgets, exploding spaceship models, and an inexplicably calm doctor named Simon! And then the families of my dead spacers can sue the production company for all the money they have, causing an intergalactic economic collapse, because, seeing as how we don't understand how the world economy works, the galactic one must be goddamn IMPOSSIBLE to figure out.

You automatically get a free Warp Gate and Hyperspace Junction in your home sector. You can't build more hyperspace junctions but you can build a warp gate assembly.
As for expanding your forces, just list out the expansions you want to do, keeping in mind to list the time needed to build things like large warships.

And, of course, the goddamn allosaurus director will have no ability to comprehend WHY the humans are getting their weird pelvic garments bunched up around their external genitals when he shows their relatives in absolutely stupid and appalling scenes in the
made-for-TV enormous blockbuster movie!
"What is wrong with these monkeys? Why are they getting offended when I show the captains of their ships getting robo-tentacle raped by the Collectors? I've read some information about these humans and their bizzare sexual fetishes and how that sells trillions of Galactic Dollars of robo-tentacle porn! I fail to see a problem here."

Also, I full well expect that someone, somewhere in the galaxy is selling subprime mortgages in exchange for pornography. And that it might well cause the utter collapse of galactic civilization as the economy implodes because of it, for arcane reasons not even the largest supercomputers can figure out or comprehend.

We do? Cool.
You can't build more hyperspace junctions but you can build a warp gate assembly.
For the Umerians, beginning construction of a warp gate assembly might make a lot of sense. What kind of price range and construction timescale would we be looking at?

See, this is why Umeria is awesome. We don't
have this kind of problem with our financial system.
Instead, we have completely different problems with our financial system! Like convincing someone to give you a loan to start a business when you aren't doing any of the Things On The List To Be Encouraged...
