Netflix to offer more streaming Stargate titles
Well I got a "haha fuck you" for buying episodes on Zune, but thank GOD for Atlantis coming out. Thats the classic example of a show I wanted to see again but do NOT want to buy.Monday - August 2, 2010

Destiny - Stargate BallNetflix, the United States-based company that offers both rental-by-mail and streaming service of movie and television series to its subscribers, has given Stargate fans a new reason to rejoice.
For quite some time, users of the service have had only three Stargate titles to choose from via the service’s streaming service: the original 1994 film featuring Kurt Russell and James Spader, and both of the 2008 SG-1 direct to DVD films — The Ark of Truth and Continuum. As of this past weekend, that has now changed.
Effective August 1, Stargate Universe Season 1.0 has been added to the service with the first ten episodes from the series’ freshman season already available. Season 1.5 of SGU is already being readied by Netflix for a streaming roll-out in the very immediate future.
But if you think the newest series in the Stargate franchise is the only one hitting the service, think again.
In addition to SGU, Netflix is also prepping a roll-out of all five seasons of Stargate Atlantis for the service — presumably arriving at the same time as SGU 1.5. There is no word as to when seasons of Stargate SG-1 will become available.
The Netflix streaming service allows subscribers to stream movies and television titles directly to their PC’s for viewing. For subscribers with next-generation video game consoles such as Sony’s Playstation 3, Microsoft’s Xbox 360 or the Nintendo Wii, the service can also be configured with those consoles for playback through their television sets. While the release of Stargate Atlantis will be strictly standard definition, both SGU 1.0 and the two SG-1 films are available in high definition (SGU 1.5 will be available in high-def when launched, also).
