Alone on a space station, an astronaut watches the lights on Earth blink out. Then, with life-support systems running down, he experiences … Civil War battles? And a cryptic interlude with a beautiful woman?

The new trailer for sci-fi film Love is a gorgeous head-scratcher on many levels. Written and directed by William Eubank and starring Gunner Wright as the man floating in the tin can, it explores the spacey effects of isolation that were probed so delicately in Duncan Jones’ Moon.

Produced and featuring music by Blink-182 guitarist/vocalist Tom DeLonge’s supergroup Angels & Airwaves, the feature film is part of the band’s multi-album Love project. It will be shown at the Santa Barbara Film Festival in early February, with a DVD and deluxe album release scheduled for March 22.

Read the Love plot synopsis and see a previous trailer below.

“After losing contact with Earth, astronaut Lee Miller becomes stranded in orbit alone aboard the International Space Station. As time passes and life support systems dwindle, Lee battles to maintain his sanity — and simply stay alive. His world is a claustrophobic and lonely existence, until he makes a strange discovery aboard the ship. Driven by the powerful music of Angels & Airwaves, Love explores the fundamental human need for connection and the limitless power of hope. A high-impact visual adventure, that resonates a common truth, that everyone has a story to tell and something even greater to leave behind.”
"No, no, no, no! Light speed's too slow! Yes, we're gonna have to go right to... Ludicrous speed!"

Have we not achieved PEAK HALLUCINATIONS in films and televisions yet? People talking to imaginary friends and seeing themselves in Federation holodeck style mental adventures is everywhere.

Man I wish real mental illness gave you such vivid ability to generate virtual reality inside your brain.
I have to tell you something everything I wrote above is a lie.

Drat. They stole a title of mine. Had it all picked out for a horror story. "Why is it called Love? Because it's probably the wrongest title ever for a horror story." Second plan would be to make something torture-porn like Saw and call it Princess Sunshine Rainbow Adventures.

I'm sure that one 'hilarious' joke would have carried you through all 80 minutes right to the box office, too. What a shame.

The depressing thing is, I'm genuinely uncertain whether that was sarcasm. It probably would.
Mind you, I'm pretty sure whatever jollyreaper had in mind would have had more of a coherent plot.
There are hardly any excesses of the most crazed psychopath that cannot easily be duplicated by a normal kindly family man who just comes in to work every day and has a job to do.

Replace "ginger" with "n*gger," and suddenly it become a lot less funny, doesn't it?

Yes. There was to have been a plot. The lowest bar for pun titles was set by a recent romcom. Made of Honor. Like the title? Hope so because it doesn't get any funnier.
