Earth discovers Fire and Water(RAR)

They are the planets Fire and Water, at the opposite orbit of Earth. What happens?
(For the purposes of this RAR, its not the Lexx version of Earth, but ours.)

Now I'm wondering if I was the only one to think you were talking about Avatar's elements (Last Airbender)... having never watched Lexx, I honestly can't say anything much about it.

Scientifically, the implications of two extra planets sharing an atmosphere are pretty steep, but the biggest impact might be religious-- the "omg there's really a Heaven/Hell" thing.

Seriously though, 2 human compatible (admittedly Water more than Fire) worlds right in the neighborhood, scientists will be salivating to get there. Once humans arrive on Water they will likely help them against aggression from Fire, ending that all together. Likely someone will say that all convicts should be shipped off to Fire.

Also if Prince is in play, then he becomes the GOP front runner candidate overnight and likely drives the world to ruin just cause he likes that kind of thing.
