Apparently the Saint's are even more hardcore now.

Yeah, I could really only tell it was meant to be Shaundi thanks to the top. Everything else about her has changed, including her demeanor and her voice.Losonti Tokash wrote:I hate to sound like "that guy," but if they're going to literally change everything about Shaundi's character other than her gender, why not just make a new character?

Nice to see Gat hasn't changed at all, though. If anything he might be more badass than before. The rest of that video just left me shaking my head in disbelief and anticipation, because while it looks stupid, it also looks fun as hell.
Name a game where the first level was not a solid index of the quality of the gameStark wrote:You're right, the first level has always been a solid index of the quality of the whole game.![]()

Some aspects of Peragus makes it look like they were shooting for it. You wake up in an abandoned mining facility with no recollection of how you got there. You have no equipment, and find the entire place is filled with dead bodies and hostile robots, followed by entering a derelict ship full of dead bodies and invisible assassins, and you have to piece together what happened based on the journals of several of the dead bodies.Dread Not wrote:xthetenth wrote:And how. Don't forget that it was very well lit. A jedi in well lit areas is not condusive to horror. Neither are those pathetic sith assassins and droids. Those should've been nasty but very rare. But yes, it's definitely an attempt at survival horror. The first thing you find out after you wake up is that nearly everybody in the facility got killed just to get to you. That means you're running around with the killer on the loose. It's definitely interesting, and if the gameplay half was up to it, it could've been very interesting.Civil War Man wrote:Some aspects of Peragus makes it look like they were shooting for it. Of course, if they were trying to go for it, it's all undermined by the fact that you are a fucking Jedi. And you can just skip trying to find out what happened if you don't care.
Technically it's infinite magazines/reloads, but good point, although he was only using two weapons from what I saw.Civil War Man wrote:Anyway, on topic, seeing as how it's a gameplay demo, they probably had cheats like all weapons, infinite ammo, and invincibility turned on. May still be an easy game, but the cheats would make it look trivial.
That's one thing I was particularly fond of. The entire point of sandbox games is freedom, so give the freedom to mess with the game itself. I wouldn't have minded making them changeable without pausing your partner's game though.Stark wrote:SR2 just had infinite ammo unlocks ingame, and a code-entry system for cheats.
