Of all the most ignorant things I have read about Islam this has to be one of the worst, they even got the fucking NAME wrong, using a name derived from the crusades when the west thought the Muslims were saying Mohammed was son of God.
They even use things the popes openly did to justify the evils of Mohammed
And yet he was ruthless in his dealings with the Jews, when once he had ceased to hope for their submission. He approved of assassination, when it furthered his cause; however barbarous or treacherous the means, the end justified it in his eyes; and in more than one case he not only approved, but also instigated the crime.
Let's see, the word inquisition does come to mind here. And the rest, some of it gets to stupid to go into. And their defence of the inquisition is hardly pleasing:

Catholic Encyclopedia wrote:The sources of Mohammed's biography are numerous, but on the whole untrustworthy, being crowded with fictitious details, legends, and stories.
I especially like the part when they talk about Muhammed conquoring Arab and Christian groups and converting them. Wasn't that the premise behind Christianity to begin with?
::Sighs:: It almost reminds me of Jack Chick. "Allah doesn't love you! JESUS loves you!"
"Say it! One nation UNDER GOD! SAY IT! SAY YOU LOVE JESUS!!"
I love fundies. They're cute. Like baby Harp seals. I wanna club 'em.

Some confraternities deserve special mention for the intense nervous paroxysms attained by their members.
Let's talk about the "intense nervous paroxysms" of certain CHRISTIAN groups, shall we? ::Rambles on for days about Baptists, Christ Scientists, and the KKK::

From what I've read, most of it could be said the same about Christianity and some of the evidence is being derived from his own personal religious beliefs.

I guess they missed the part about how the common people in Anatolia, Syria, Lebanon, Palestine, Egypt and North Africa were so disgusted with the bloated caracass that the Byzantine Empire had become and the mind-numbing bureaucracy of the Orthodox Church that they offered practically zero resistance to the Arabs and willingly converted to what was then seen as a Christian heresy. You can accuse Islam of a lot of shit, but a bunch of half-organized half-barbarian Arab tribes didn't convert millions of Byzantine Christians and Persian Zoroastrians entirely by swordpoint.
Any city gets what it admires, will pay for, and, ultimately, deserves…We want and deserve tin-can architecture in a tinhorn culture. And we will probably be judged not by the monuments we build but by those we have destroyed.--Ada Louise Huxtable, "Farewell to Penn Station", New York Times editorial, 30 October 1963 X-Ray Blues
