My roommate's laptop won't boot and Windows 10's recovery tools don't seem to be doing the job when it comes to wiping his HDD throwing up errors when I try to format them outside of command prompt tends to freeze up when I try to use it to do the job. I'm fed up with doing things the nice way so can you recommend a good USB bootable tool to completely nuke and reformat the drive so we can do a fresh install of Windows 10?
Normally I'd just pop the drive out, slot it into a working PC and go from there but I don't have my PC repair tools and don't have the right screwdriver to take the drive out of his laptop so that's off the table.
