The damage KJA has done to SW is minimal and can be eliminated by simply going with a "it's only 'real' if Lucas made it" philosophy (I've personally found Star Wars to be much simpler, more enjoyable and less weighted down and incomprehensible due to poor attempts to expand on the movies)

B & B is not so simple, it's more far reaching. Voyager and Enterprise aren't novels and while much of their material floats in self-spawned ocean of mediocrity and even total crap, there are a few islands of decent material in there. Perhaps, a similar philosophy to mine regarding Star Wars can be excercised by those who simply cannot learn to seek out these islands and concentrate on them rather than focussing on the ocean of mediocrity and total crap, cut Star Trek off with DS9 where supposedly all meaningful Star Trek ends. (I'm a glass is half full person myself, unlike what seems to be the vast majority of people here, Voyager and Enterprise are not totally bad, there is watchable material there if you can stop dissing the shows long enough to watch for it.)

Now personally I liked some of KJA's work in the overextended, glutted universe. Daala is an excellent character, and Dark Saber was a pretty good novel. So, my axe has to fall on B & B's necks if I really must choose to axe KJA or them. (personally I'd axe the Fox execs who canceled Space Above and Beyond or the Sci-fi execs who gave the tumbs down to Legend of the Rangers.)

I LOVED Space Above and Beyond...BUT legends of the Rangers was GODAWFUL. I was cringing throughout the pilot and I kept checking to see if JMS had actually written that piece of bantha poodo...UGH. Words cannot describe how awful that show was and I say good riddance.

Have to go with B&B, they RUINED a franchise I so dearly enjoyed. Enterprise is the first ST series that I simply gave up on and could care less what is going on in that show, I saw a grand total of three episodes and they were all putrid!! B&B KILLED a franchise, KAJ merely inflicts some flesh wounds every once in awhile.
Wherever you go, there you are.
