Like AFAIK? As far as I know. AFAIK, that's the only other one that appears to be relatively rare.

Acronyms can be useful at times, it's easier than typing the whole phrase. And besides, it produces humorous results when two nonrelated things end up sharing the same acronym.

These are mostly abbreviations. Acronyms are abbreviations you can actually pronounce: LASER, SCUBA, FUBAR, SNAFU, etc.

I don't think I ever noticed the difference between abbreviation and acronym. See , this website can be educational. :-)

I know most acronyms, but I've only seen GFU almost exclusively on WC3campaigns.com, so I assume it's a recent Net Rat thing. The phrase "pwned' also elludes me, other than being a varization of 'owned'. :?

*shudder* Utsano, don't mention wc3campaigns.com here. If the SD.net people went there and saw what most of the posters acted like, there would be more banned people then unbanned people when all was said and done.

So they've actively created a new word based on a typo?
