Gripe about school rankings and humanities
Anyone else notice that unless you're basically an ivy known for its sciences, everyone judges you by your humanities department?
I know, given that a large majority of the students graduate from the humanities instead of science it's still a painful humiliation to be judged by them.
Such as my school has a god awfully easy humanities department but in sciences we're always fluctating in and out of the national top 10 lists (I believe the highest we achieved was #3 in chemistry when I was a freshman).. however, when I'm socializing outside of the school and you tell them where you come from they immediately go, "I hear that's a party school.. easy school, huh?" and all that shit and I just want to sock them.

AND for Darwin, Marie Stopes, and many others that I'd be able to name if I wasn't so tired.

My university is known for its Agriculture, Engineering, and Business schools. Our college of liberal arts sucks and we know it, but there is a plan to fix that.

UGA has a little bit of everything, although Georgia Tech is obviously going to be superior for chemistry, engineering, and such (but not for biology, pharmacy, and pre-med). The Business school, which I'm in, and the Journalism school are what we're most well-known for.

I'm studying for the CPA exam. Have a nice summer, and if you're down just sit back and realize that Joe is off somewhere, doing much worse than you are.
