History: The Fenari were created by an unknown order to fight wars for their "Gods". These being's eventually abandoned the Fenari and replaced them with the Jormungar (A Snake Centaur type race, (X-Com Snakemen)) The Fenari hold a great degree of respect and animosity for Jormungar, & Kzin, While they will never have peace with either race, the Fenari do not like anyone disrespecting them either, and have been known to go to lengths to protect enemy dead from desecration.
Generally the pack system has two heirachys, the Males control hunts and military ground forces. While the females control diplomatic and trade concerns (Including the navy, while the males make up the "Marines") Although warriors, they are very territorial, and do not like anyone invading their home "Ranges". They also fight with them selves frequently.
Fenari also see things in terms of "prey" and "Not Prey", always operate in groups,

it is purhaps a genetic condition (Resulting from their intial engineering) but a certain percentage of Fenari can not accept pack structure, and are incurable Psychotics, during war time they are used as the forward wave in ground or boarding combat as "Berzerkers", during the time between hunts, they are used in "Games" the most famous of which is *The Ball Game* "Lacross + Rugby + Blood Bowl"

Fenari Religion: (Out of Context)
Interesting Question
The Fenari were originally given sentience by a bieng who called it's self "Loki" the Race of "Fenris" was Joined with that of "Jormungar"(The Midgaurd Serpent) and taken to fight wars for Loki's people, who called them selves gods. The Fenari do not considered Loki or his race to be "Gods" and despise them. The "false gods" simularly had abbandoned the Fenari in favor of the "Jormungar" thus the Fenari continue to try and prove themselves against their counterparts, proving that the "False Gods" were wrong in their desicion. (This has of course reached a logic defying level of "Holy Crusade" for the Fenari.
The other point of mysticism is the belief in the stars. Fenari females possess a talent for navigation, even when they were planet bound, this has continued into space, these women can intuitivly tell where they are, and can seem to transit the chaos of the wormhole network to reach locations in "Other Space" . These navigators maintain a semi religious aura and trappings, and exclude themselves in a formal "Priestesshood, of the Navigators" Outsiders speculate that this is some form of a Psychic ability, or purhaps racial memory of trips made by their ancestors.
