How is it?

Fun game...the spirits are odd, but kickass in many ways.

Just started playing, I just got the short sword, but so far it seems cool, I kinda dislike the main character not being a belmount but oh well.

At first, I thought Soma was a girl, because he looks damn much like one.

It's a cool game. Great music, though I think the music in CotM was a bit better but it's still very good. And really great graphics (for a GBA game, of course). And there seem to be lots of cool weapons and enemies, I just killed Death with a poison sword and got a megical skill so that I can make scythes materialze - very useful skill   . That's my first impression of the game. Hopefully, it'll only get better and better.

Wait a minute, wait a minute, hold on everyone...

There was a Castlevania game released and I didn't hear about it? Which system is it on??

Game Boy Advanced

Only place now getting a decent Castlevania...unless the new 3D one for PS2 truly breaks new ground.

Hmm, that was a short game... Only took like 5 hours or so to beat.
*spoiler warning, I guess. Don't read if you want to find everything out for yourself.*

And Dracula wasn't in the game. Damn, I was looking forward to Dracula's return from the dead, but no. He didn't return. That Graham whatever-his-last-name-was guy inherited Dracula's powers, but he was sooooo easy to kill. Even Death was harder to beat (I think Death is the toughest boss in the whole game. And the succubi are the hotest  , they kiss the life out of you if you get too close, you know   ). Graham fought like the usual Dracula; creating fireballs and finally becoming a huge monster.
I met a Belmont too. Julius Belmont was his name, he was the one who killed the last Dracula in 1999. The guy in black said that the real Dracula would never return, people would only inherit his powers, and his castle would stay in the eclipse. I wasn't too happy to find out about this, because it means that we will probably never see dear old Drac again, unless he is in the game for PS2 but that is said to take place in the 11th century, before Dracula was born. Maybe we will find out that Dracula inherited his powers from someone else *really hopes not*.

There are som really cool sword to find. I personally like the big dragon-slayer sword (can't remeber what they called it). It really kicks butt.

Dooey Jo, did you get the good ending (i.e. find out who Soma really is and fight Julius)? Equip the Flame Demon, Giant Bat, and Succubus souls before fighting Graham (and keep them on), and Genya (AKA Alucard) shows up afterwards to tell you how to get rid of the castle permanently. Remember the black mist door in the floating garden?

Yes, so that's were Julius went. I'm going to try this right now. I'll just have to get flame demon's soul first, but that shouldn't be a problem, I have the Balmung sword  .

Update: Huh, that was weird, first time you get to play as Dracula, I suppose. That last boss was though, but it was worth it. That ending was way better than the other. Have you tried to die when you fight the last boss (maybe that's a bit tricky to avoid :) ), you become Dracula then and Julius comes to kill you. Too bad we didn't get to see the fight  .

Beat the game yesterday-normal ending, today-good ending. Damn, I didn't see that coming when you beat Graham with the right souls. And the Black Panther soul is just orgasmic, I took the long way to the dark door just for fun.

And of course, try starting a new game with the name "Julius" -- you'll start out pretty weak, but you get stronger every time you pick up a boss orb. R button rotates between subweapons, and you can super jump or phase dash with L.

No, not that good, but it's certainly not bad. The music in the Entrance is very good and Julius theme (which acctually is a remix of the old classic "Heart of Fire") is also very, very good.
